Really wanted to give this place a good review because the food isn’t terrible. However, our experience Sunday night needs to be shared in hopes of improving service at this restaurant. My sister and I are waiting in line to order. One lady is in front of us, also waiting for someone to take her order. After a couple of minutes, we look around. Despite there being two people behind the counter doing other things, nobody stopped what they were doing to take our order. We continue to wait. An employee arrives at the start of their shift. We think our wait is over. Nope. She settles in, starts conversation with the other employees and we continue to wait. As she’s putting her things away, nobody has bothered to ask us if we’ve been helped. At this point, we look at each other and ask should we leave? Just as we say that, an employee walks over to the register, dumps a pile of tshirts on the counter and starts sorting through them. A customer, who must have been sitting on the other side of the restaurant, walks over and starts looking through the tshirts looking for a size. Are you kidding me? At this point, the other employee wraps up her conversation with her colleague and calls us over to the second register to take our order. We look for a clean spot to sit down. Despite the pizza place being basically empty, clean tables were not in abundance because dirty dishes were left out. Because dishes were left out and tables were not wiped down promptly, there were flies present...
Read moreI recently visited a pizza place that has gained some attention for its flavor, but my experience was mixed. While the pizza was tasty and had a good texture, I couldn’t ignore some significant drawbacks. They pre-cook their crusts in the morning, which, while efficient, means the dough isn’t freshly made for each order. The result is still flavorful but lacks the freshness you'd expect for the price.
Speaking of price, this was by far the most expensive pizza I’ve ever had. A small pizza and a few breadsticks set us back over $50, not including drinks. For that cost, I expected larger portions or a truly exceptional experience, but neither was the case. Compared to other options, like Jets or even the local Jamaican restaurant, the value just wasn’t there.
The restaurant itself is clean and has a newer feel, but the atmosphere was stifling. It was uncomfortably hot inside, and the staff, while not rude, were distant and didn’t seem very welcoming. It’s the kind of service you sometimes get on the island, so I wasn’t entirely surprised, but it didn’t add to the experience.
Overall, while the pizza was enjoyable, the combination of high prices, small portions, and lackluster service makes it hard to justify coming back. There are better options nearby where you get more food, better service, and a more satisfying experience...
Read moreReason for the 4 star review- we ordered 2 half pizzas for lunch ($17) each. The Greek and mushroom pizzas were great AFTER we requested to remove the lemon zest and subbed it with the truffle honey drizzle (which elevated the pizzas to 4.5 stars). Please remove the lemon zest permanently - doesn’t belong on a pizza. The person at the counter was friendly but she tried to charge me $10 surcharge for the substitution. I was annoyed because the only other pizza that they sold with the honey was only $2 extra. But I didn’t even order meat on my pizza and thought the surcharge was excessive. Finally she agreed. Additionally, I stood in line and it took me 10-15 minutes just to order because the 2 groups ahead of me were requesting some sort of discount which they had to find a manager for and also had questions about the wine. There should have been another person to assist because there was a lunch rush and it was taking so long for everything. Finally, the Caesar Salad was in a small prepackaged container and it was $12 dollars. Wasn’t worth it. Place seemed pretty small for the amount of people that were there and the utensils and pizza pans were overpiled in the self cleanup area with no one going around to wipe the...
