Little Sweet — Restaurant in Madison

I swung by Little Sweet the other day and it instantly became my new favorite sugar paradise. Picture this: a cozy corner cake haven with treats so pretty you almost feel guilty eating them…almost.

First off, the vibe is adorable. Think pastel glass cases full of petite cakes, each one begging to be Instagrammed before you devour it. And the staff? Friendly and sincere, like they genuinely care you’re having a cute cake day. It’s the kind of place that makes you go “aw” when the door chime rings.

I dove right into the Oreo cream pastry…. a perfectly dense pillow of cookie heaven that somehow isn’t too sweet. Dense is the right word here; it’s got substance. Like a treasure chest for your taste buds.

Then came the Honeydew cake slice and Avocado Pomelo Sago drink combo, a refreshing less-sweet but ultra-smooth tag team that had me feeling like I was treating myself without the usual sugar coma.

The design of the place is chirpy-chic, with soft lighting, sweet pastel tones, and plates that make your dessert feel like a tiny masterpiece. It’s that little slice of whimsy that makes you smile like a kid spotting cake in a candy store window.

Their food menu might be their best kept secret. I don’t have a big sweet tooth, but once I discovered they offered savory dishes, I knew I had to come and try it for myself, so we came here for lunch recently.

They have a variety of appetizers & entrees to choose from, and I picked the roast combo for myself and my son wanted to try their Alfredo which had a shrimp option that he preferred over chicken. The portions for the price were very generous, both of our dishes packed a ton of flavor, and everything was cooked to order. I particularly enjoyed my roast pork which was delectably crispy and tender, the well cooked bok choy, and the included dipping sauce. I also tried my son’s Alfredo, which is a dish I typically avoid because I feel a lot of Alfredo sauces tend to be bland. That wasn’t the case here, and there were plenty of shrimp to complement the Al dente fettuccine.

We enjoyed our lunch immensely, and to top it off, all of the staff that served us were very polite and helpful, the space is immaculate, and they have a ton of creative drinks and desserts that we didn’t even get a chance to try. These folks are awesome. I stopped in get a nibble on a lunch break, and the place is solid combo of cozy and spacious. The staff where very friendly, offered me a wipe for my fogged up glasses. I went ahead and used their digital menu to order so I could see some pictures of the food, and ordered some of the popcorn chicken, Crab Rangoon, BBQ buns,, and their brown sugar bobba. The lady at the register insisted I try their freshly made hot dog bun, which was really delicious, with savory spices and rich cheese with the hot dog baked in. The Brown Sugar bobba was light and fluffy, with a nice subtle sweetness. The BBQ Bun was crispy and well puffed, with meat inside well flavored and supple. I brought the crab Rangoon and popcorn chicken back to my office, and shared some with my coworkers, we all aggreged the the popcorn chicken was indulgent, with a really distinct flavor and a good crisp fry. The crab ran goons where also quite handsomely prepared and where a nice combo of crunchy shell and succulent filling.
