The 3-stars is a placeholder. The real score will come by the end of the day, or maybe even the weekend, depending on how things digest.
But yeah. I'm currently on a road trip with my boy, his bestie, the bestie's momma and my ex. Truthfully, not the worst circumstances. When I was kid, my family decided to drive 22 hours to Texas for a family reunion. I ate some bad fish on the way and got pretty sick. Anyways.
The original plan was for us to stop at McDonald's, but their lobby is under renovation and the drive-thru wasn't an option I guess. Across the street, Wendy's. I thought to myself, "hmm, maybe there's a reason why they're not as busy as a McDonald's under renovation..." But I'm not the one driving, and beggars can't be choosers right? Something like that.
So we park and enter the lobby for breakfast, and the vibe is pretty chill but no one behind the counter comes up to service us.
"Lobby's not open for breakfast." A helpful voice calls to us from behind.
I look and Dude, let's call him Ricky (a clutch-like Ricky, like from Talledega Nights. Not cringe-like Ricky, like Ricky Martin from Menudo [although I'd be lying if I said I didn't think Ricky Martin had a useful place in pop history]), is sitting in the lobby, apart from his peers, taking a break from The Scrolling to help some wayward strangers. Clutch-like, right?
"Doesn't open 'til 11," Ricky says. And it doesn't get more straightforward than that, right? Clutch-like.
"Well you guys should keep the door locked, then," huffs the ex.
The bestie's momma is still standing near the counter, maybe presuming that the service people will make an exception for the group. I learned later the whole idea behind the lobby excursion was actually in consideration of a 5-person order, to not hold up the drive-thru. Pretty thoughtful actually. Clutch-like, even.
"Well you guys should keep the doors locked, then," huffed the ex. Honestly, at the time and even now, I can't help but agree. But I've watched (and read) Fight Club repeatedly as a kid and I know not to mess with the people who handle my food and other things. Plus Ricky's been nothing but helpful so far, and we've got two boys with us... So on our way out we go.
"So we've got 3 orders, right? Maybe we should make it 7 and give them a hard time!" the bestie's momma entertains.
Oh no. So it begins. But it doesn't. She's just letting out a little steam.
The drive-thru attendant was helpful and patient. The food was good, but the ex didn't get her potatoes.
And on our way we went!
Thanks morning Wendy's team! Thanks...
Read moreUsed mobile ordering ahead of time, I live 5 min away & left immediately, it was 8pm on a Friday. Went to this location no other cars were in line and waited 2 minutes to even have anyone talk at the speaker. Then sat at the window 5 min before anyone greeted me, sat another 15 min to get our food. Our food was cold like cheese not even melted on burgers, cold old fries, cold nuggets, cold chicken sandwich. Didn't have the right toppings at all on any of them, they forgot the sauce for the nuggets. No napkins and the cola was watered down like the machine needed changed out. The workers were not welcoming and didn't care at all they were standing around and sitting on her counters talking and on their phones. I gave them a second chance and got the same results and they even forgot some of our food the second time. Update: gave them a third try and same exact experience as the first two. I truly believe the workers here purposely do what they can so people don't come back, making the food wrong and bad like old, cold, wrong toppings, missing toppings, missing items etc, make you wait when there's no other customers not even door dash orders, rude and unfriendly all on purpose to keep customers from coming back.
The supervisor or general manager need to be there to oversee what's going on and teach these workers how to actually work, and or just hire people that actually care about people and job, workers should care the customer gets what they pay for (especially when it costs...
Read morePulled up to the drive thru window around 9:50, no answer. I waited patiently for 10 minutes, I understand what it means to be short staffed because I work in the service industry too. After ten minutes, I say Hello? No response. I say it a couple more times and no response. I called the store because I also noticed the customer at the drive thru window was waiting there for as long as I had been at the speaker. No answer. I was about to drive off and a guy opened the window and yelled at me to hold on. He then proceeds to give the customer at the window food and then when she pulls away I ask him if they’re still open. He said yes and I said nobody was answering. He said “oh we don’t answer the phone” I say We also were at the speaker waiting for ten minutes with no response after saying hello. He then proceeds to go back inside and yell at the employees with the window open. I felt uncomfortable because he was literally screaming at them so I drove off and then he notices I was leaving and he hangs out the window and starts yelling at me. that was the most uncomfortable situation I’ve experienced getting food. The guy at the speaker needs to learn how to talk to people and his coworkers in a respectful manner. He was a tall African American with...
