Great small venue with a classy crowd. Love their new decor. Drinks are good choose your bartender wisely. I had 1 guy give me half a shot in my drink and the girl may of put 2 shots in my drink. I tipped the girl way more because I tasted jack with a splash of coke like I like it. I think guy bartenders tend to choose their friends and hook them up but women tend to know how to get a good tip. Put enough alcohol so they can taste the alcohol in the drink. I limit myself to only 2 drinks so if I'm paying as much as it would cost me to buy the alcohol and have enough to drink for a month at home for 2 drinks I want to taste the alcohol and get my money's worth. Also all the tables had VIP reserved on them so we couldn't find a table and even got there at 10 pm. When I asked about a table they said they were reserved but I know for a fact they usually aren't reserved they are held for owners, managers or employees friends or family to have a seat. My father in law used to manage here so one of those reserved tables were usually ours until he left. We ended up leaving because we couldn't get a seat and we went to local and had an amazing time sitting in a booth. We spent over $300 that night at local. Sorry silly you lost that money by not having enough space for regulars you got about $80 from us while we stood up waiting for a table to empty or an empty table to never have anyone sit at. As an owner I would fall on the floor to know how much I lost from simple things like opening up a table for an hour that's not really reserved. You can make more money if your reservations have time slots. That may help your bar since you want to offer reserved seating you loose money during those hours you don't have enough room to accommodate customers due to empty reserved seats and they go down the street and spend their money somewhere else with open seats. It is getting a little snobby and clicky in here now. I don't know if we will return after experiencing being customers without the perk of being allowed to sit at a table. If you know someone there you can sit down if not you will stand the entire night and get your...

I want to be an honest reviewer, and I hate leaving less than 3 stars. Nothing was particularly bad about this place, but it was mediocre at best. We walked in, and weren’t greeted for some time. We sat at a table against the bar, and finally someone asked if we were ready to order. We asked about the featured drinks, and were told that no substitutions could be made because the drinks were premixed. That was a little disappointing. Being in the service industry myself, I typically will offer alternatives, or put in the effort to find something that someone will like. As a bartender, I’ll remix a drink to meet the preferences of a customer. If we made a premixed drink, I usually have all the individual ingredients still, so I can just whip up a slightly altered option. But the bartender either wasn’t able, or willing to help. She honestly seemed like she really didn’t enjoy her job at all. We all have off-days, but it really seemed to affect her work. We settled on some of the featured drinks. The drinks made weren’t particularly notable. The music was nice, but if I’m honest, I don’t think I’d recommend this as a spot to...

This place was awful. We walked in and struggled to get service. Finally got an order for drinks and food placed at the same time after 30+ minutes, the waitress then disappeared for another 20-30 minutes until our drinks showed up and at least 45 minutes until our food showed up. Unfortunately, both drink orders and food orders had errors.

The worst of all is that our visit occurred during a time when the entire city of Memphis was under a boil order, but this restaurant continued to serve tap water to its patrons when every other restaurant I visited (including bars on Beale street) were serving bottled water. When I brought this up to the bartender, he shrugged it off and said they had been serving tap water all day and all night, that day. Which…. Is actively putting their customers at risk of getting sick. Not great!!!

When food finally did come, the chicken was bland, the temperature was all over the place, and the audio on the speakers overhead kept cutting out.

This place may look fancy, but I would actively discourage anyone...

I came here with my dad for a father/daughter date. He had said this place was rated as having a great ambiance, or gave me another option that was supposed to have good drinks. I chose this place and was so glad I did, because they have both! On Jessica's recommendation, we tried the Cholo Love and the Sleeveless. Both were so good that we ended up ordering two more each, and bringing the rest of the family back later in the week. The Therapy Tiger and Handsome Devil were also A+. Two other gentleman (I believe Brad, and Daniel, the owner) also served/hung out with us for a bit and it was just the best time! I also have to mention that I found the drink prices fantastic for the quality. I easily pay $12-$16 for similar drinks at upscale bars. I don't live in Memphis but I'll definitely be back whenever I visit.

I went to The Silly Goose Bar in Memphis and was very disappointed. The drink I ordered — a Jameson and Sprite — was completely watered down and not worth the price. Honestly, I could have stayed home and poured water in a glass and had a better experience. To make matters worse, the bartender was rude and acted like serving me was an inconvenience. For the money they charge, the service and drinks should be far better. This place is not worth it, and I won’t be returning. Memphis has too many other spots where you can actually get what you pay for.
