I recently visited the Jersey Mike's on 8703 Shawnee Mission Pkwy on January 31st at approximately 7:35 pm and had a truly awful experience with the manager, Andrea. From the moment we approached the counter, her attitude was dismissive and impatient. Even a simple request – mayo on both sides of the bread – was met with an eye roll and an air of inconvenience. Things only got worse. She scratched her head with her gloves on and then proceeded to handle our food without changing them, even after we specifically asked her to. The final straw was at the register. She was incredibly pushy, rushing us to pay and add items to our order. Her behavior was so unprofessional and uncomfortable that we ultimately decided to leave without paying for our order. What made this experience even more appalling was that it all unfolded in front of new hires. Andrea's attitude and actions set a terrible example, demonstrating a complete disregard for customer service and basic hygiene. It was honestly shocking. When we tried to address the issues with Andrea, she refused to speak with us. We had to obtain the corporate number from one of the new hires, as she was unwilling to provide it herself. Overall, Andrea's behavior ruined our visit. It was clear she had no regard for customer satisfaction. We couldn't justify giving them our money after such a negative interaction. I went during a busy time, and the staff seemed less than thrilled to accommodate my gluten-free request. One particular staff member even rolled her eyes when I mentioned it, which felt pretty unprofessional. To make matters worse, my order ended up being wrong. I understand it can get hectic during peak hours, but I’ve had much better experiences in the past, so I’m hoping this was just an off day.
