I should start by saying that I never leave anything but 5 star reviews. Even when customer service is not satisfactory I will just not leave a review at all. I'm so disappointed in the Barros on Grove. Very. My son has always loved Barros. And we've been eating at Barros for over 10 years. So this doesn't make me happy at all.
Let me first start by saying Matt the Manager, and all of my delivery drivers have always been top notch. But eat at your own risk.
There was lots of plastic and green coloring in my son's pizza. The plastic was shredded with the cheese!! So it was in so much of the pizza that it made my son sick and cut his throat. He LOVES Barros! So we took pictures to share with the mgr...Matt was excellent about getting our issue escalated. But then an insurance company started calling and reqsting hospital records! Huh? We're not trying to sue the company we just felt that something should have been done to go over and beyond. I'd think they'd try to avoid a lawsuit for my son eating plastic in that pizza. After weeks of going back and forth with insurance, and my son wanting Barros again, I said forget it, I'll just pay for another pizza for my son. So we get the pizza and there is no cheese or sauce on the pizza at all... 🙄
By the time I found out it was too late to call and I had just forgotten. So today, my son wants pizza again, so I go to order pizza and also mention that our last pizza had no sauce and no cheese...
A male manager by the name of Shay tells me that there's nothing he can do because I didn't call it in the day it happened (in April).. I didn't even ask for anything....But you'd think he'd be empathetic as he literally can't have a job without us-customers, including you who are reading this...so why the bad customer service? I am leaving this review everywhere. This is crazy how horrible this customer service is considering my son could have died from eating plastic that was in his pizza... Shay's tone, Customer service and attitude was just plain rude..not manager material. Another Barros that I called explained how they would have handled the situation and even offered our full order free but couldn't deliver so far. So it's not all locations, but my recommendation is to.. mention this story to mgr Shay, and watch his attitude and decide if you want to eat from someone with that type of vibe/energy. To not care that my son loves the pizza wants to eat it but was sick because of their negligence can be seen as sociopathic to be completely honest with everyone. I'm not saying he is, but that's some wierd vibe to not care that your plastic in my son's food could have caused very serious damage...and you just don't care or at least show empathy but expect me to continue with my order? Then when I told my son I was perplexed about us eating there, Shay just handed the phone to whichever employee was originally on the call...no good bye, no I'm sorry...it's just ridiculous and crazy.
Eat at your own RISK.
Don't believe me? Read the 1 star reviews...it's just crazy.

Read moreMe and family came into this location on fathers day 2017. Between the times of 3-345pm. The food is greay dont get me wrong but that was all we could say for this visit. The customer service was awful. I work in customer service for a large company so i know how important serving your customers right is. A gentleman brought out our chicken wings no problem. Then midway we seen our pizza sitting on the counter for quite some time. One of our guest was sort of a small crunch for time. So since no one brought it over to us we decided to go get it since it had just been sitting there. Well the girl working told us "were washong spatulas" there was over 3 other partys eating there with us. Mind you 1 group was eating out of their boxes. But really you only have spatulas to accomodate 2 other parties? So we were like okay thats fine we dont mind grabbing the pizza ourselves. But it still took like 5+ minutes to wash a spatula. After we had finished and were ready to go we needed boxes. There was absolutely no one at the front counter. There hadnt been for awhile. Because there was even customers that came in and there was no one at the counter so they left. We needed boxes, we were up there saying excuse me excuse me, no one heard us. We tried knocking on the counter, the soda machine and the wall next to the kitchen door and nothing. We almost had to go into the kitchen, were pretty close to the door and had to actually YELL excuse me for someone to hear us. A young man cane out then he told her "counter" She finally comes out and we said "can we get 3 boxes please" and she just stared at us and looked around then went back into the kitchen to get boxes while she was doing that she was talking about us to the kitchen staff and we know this because we heard her telling them "first they grabbed their pizza off the counter and i told them were washing spatulas, then they told me their in a crunch for time, no their yelling excuse me" she came out with only 1 box, i had to tell her "speaking about your customer in the kitchen is really rude, because we can hear you too" then proceeded to answer the phone, but we still needed more boxes so my mother needed to go up there again and ask again. It was a bad experience and will probably drive us away from here. But dont get me wrong the food is great! Customer service needed improvement or just the individual because we never had that...
Read moreI'm a mushroom pizza fan. Every time I go to this location and pay good money for a mushroom pizza, they give my pizza a light dusting of mushrooms, barely visible and barely tasteable. Mushrooms are subtle, you need a lot of them to actually get the flavor, so a normal mushroom pizza should have a solid amount of mushrooms on it. I have to pay for "extra mushrooms" to get what should be a normal amount of mushrooms for a basic mushroom pizza.
On top of this, the staff sucks. My friend and I went to this location yesterday and asked the lady at the register to split the payment in half so we could each pay for half of it, which we always do and have never had any problems doing. This woman told us she can't do that, and I told her that, yes, she can, because they do it all the time. She proceeded to tell me that she DOESN'T WANT TO because it would be inconvenient for her. I'm sorry, what? You're too lazy to do your job and would rather inconvenience your customer because you don't want to put in a little extra effort? Unreal.
We had ordered take-out over the phone. The order was for a large pizza with half pepperoni and bacon, and half double mushroom. When it was ready, it was half mushroom (a light dusting) and half pepperoni with bacon all over it. We had to wait for them to remake it. When the new pizza came, it was half mushroom (a proper amount for a normal mushroom pizza) and half pepperoni and bacon, but they made it so four slices had mushroom and six slices had pepperoni and bacon. We were sick of waiting and didn't want to send it back a second time, so we took it.
But wow...what a miserable experience. Between a lazy cashier and inept cooks who can't make a proper pizza even when given multiple chances, I won't come back here again for a very long...
