Would not recommend leaving your card with the bartendersā¦first time ever being in this bar and they lose my debit cardā¦not a good experience and to be questioned almost as if I lost the card/acting nonchalant about it when it was behind your bar the whole time. Then the paper that I wrote my non important contact information āif they find itā was just mixed in with a pile of receipts next to register. Frustrating to say the least.
UPDATE-Because the owner wanted to try it and clarify with me what happened/invalidate my experience when they werenāt there. I did not get called multiple times the next day it was more like one single time, a 6740 NY at 11pm the next night when you decided to call me about the card and would love to post my phone record of the single call made to be more petty/accurate if needed. You also open at 3pm so Iām sure you didnāt call as soon as it was returned to you because who waits until almost midnight to return a card and or call āone timeā. Also not you gaslighting and neglecting of the bar tenders responsibility in losing my card by saying āactually they didnāt lose your card it got stuck to another patronās cardā so it was the patrons fault they didnāt notice giving my card away or closing my tab out without my consent? Mistakes happen but owning up to mistakes that I know for sure is not the āfirst time in 30 yearsā this happened and it may have been, but your experience is not valid sir/maāam ya werenāt there⦠and if you were there or relied on the cameras to view the entire situation that night you would also notice the night was not āput on holdā to find or look for my card as both the bartenders continued to take orders from other people and less than 20 people in the bar casually playing pool and smoking cigs is not super busy. The numbers of my phone written on the paper were legible actually but again, as stated before they also placed that paper in a less than ideal place amongst all other random receipt paper like it didnāt matter. Also, I never ācondemnedā the bar I gave a rating of my experience and said I wouldnāt recommend opening a tab/leaving a card where it can apparently be given away and not noticed how thick 2 cards together feel. So please shred the card I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible Christmas experience here. After work I stopped in looking for a bite to eat while watching the Steelers game. Unfortunately, the bar didn't have a food menu. However, they had hotdogs for customers who brought a drink. Being under 21, I had to settle for a soda. The soda came fairly quick as well as the check. The soda Came out to $4. I tipped the waitress $4 and explained how I'm here for the football game. I asked her to set a price for me to watch the game prior to the 1st soda. She smiled and said the soda will be enough. However, about 25 min after that soda, I decided to get another hotdog, or I thought. Her boss, (a bald guy who gave me a glass of water after the soda in a dirty glass smh) acted like I was leaching off the food & water and saying that I must buy another drink prior to having a second hotdog. (The deal was help yourself to as much as you'd like with a drink.)
Anyways, keeping my composure, I told him how I brought the drink and kindly tipped the waitress. He didn't want to hear any of that and developed an attitude in his tone. Saying, I can't have water, and must order another soda or leave. As a 20 year old entrepreneur, I told him if that's how you want to manage your business good luck. That's not how you should treat a paying customer or even an individual. In the meantime, the waitress softly said, her boss is making me charge you for another soda, is that okay with you? I said fine, paid the $4, tipped her an additional $2 and walked back to my seat with just a hotdog bun. At this point there's a decent amount of people checking me out while watching the game. I felt very uncomfortable due to this so called boss and just left the place without even taking a sip of that soda.
Wishing everyone a happy holiday and hopefully, you never have to come across a situation like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in since I was in the location and also saw they had Belgian-style beers. This location is certainly a dive, however in a few of the ideal ways. When I walked in bench was packed, but there was a great deal of open tables. One of the guys at bench, that looked like a routine, obtained up and supplied me his barstool and went to go rest at one of the open tables w/o even a word, simply a motion as well as a nod. That recognized chivalry wasn't dead after all?It is really dark, so you do have to use your phone's flashlight to read the menu, yet they use some great belgian beers. The 2 bartenders were both extremely friendly and also concerned take my order and also discuss their menu right after I was supplied my seat. They also let me sample the two beers before I got them as they were in the $10 for a tulip pour variety. Most definitely worth cost as the Tripel as well as Quad designs got on point as was the flavor as well as abv! Definitely worth checking out for the beers and also simply the ambience ... you do not really feel like you remain in South Coastline in all, however in an old pub in Europe someplace. I will certainly be returning the next time I'm...
