A Birthday Celebration to Remember at Barton G in Miami Beach
For my 29th birthday, my boyfriend and I decided to indulge in a memorable dining experience at Barton G in Miami Beach, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was sophisticated yet fun, setting the stage for a delightful evening.
We kicked off our night with drinks that were nothing short of spectacular. I opted for the DEAD or ALIVE, a refreshing concoction of Tequila Crystal, Blood Orange PurĆ©e, Fresh Lemonade, and Limeade. It was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, with just the right amount of kick. My boyfriend chose the DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, a luxurious mix of Citron Vodka, Cointreau, Grilled Meyer Lemon, and a Citron Nitro Popsicle. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were exquisite. These were, hands down, some of the best drinks weāve ever had.
For our appetizer, we shared the STRIKE OUT SLIDERS. These Wagyu Beef Mini Burgers were incredibly juicy, with caramelized onions and Mac sauce that made each bite better than the last. The truffle buns added an extra layer of decadence, and the half sour pickles provided a perfect contrast.
When it came to the main course, I chose the 8oz. FILET MIGNON accompanied by Mouse Trap Mac & Cheese. The filet was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The Mouse Trap Mac & Cheese was a highlight, not just for its creamy, cheesy goodness, but also for the whimsical presentation with large forks, perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. My boyfriend enjoyed the 14oz. NY STRIP with Yukon Mashed Potatoes. His steak was equally tender and well-seasoned, and the mashed potatoes were delightfully smooth and rich. The playful presentation with big forks added a fun element to the meal.
To finish off our feast, we shared the MARIE ANTOINETTE dessert, featuring a high, curly cotton candy pompadour. This dessert was enormous, definitely more suited for a larger group, but it was a visual and culinary treat. The cotton candy was fluffy and sweet, a fitting end to our indulgent meal.
Overall, Barton G is a must-visit spot in South Florida. The creative presentations and exceptional flavors make it perfect for special occasions. It was a birthday to remember, and we left with full stomachs and happy hearts....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwice in less than 2 weeks. The first time my husband and I had to leave abruptly and we had to cut our meal short. We left for Atlanta the next day. So I decided to book us a flight and we made reservations here again a week later. I expressed to the employee who called to reconfirm the reservation that I wanted the waiter to convey a message to my husband. āWelcome back for your redoā the employee explained to me over the phone that they could say āWelcome backā but not ā Welcome back for your redoā I found it quite odd however plane tickets were already booked. Although this time around we were able to enjoy and the food and display was great! I was extremely bothered that we had now at this point spent $900.00 dollars for two people in less than two weeks. Not including plane tickets. That the waiter was not allowed to convey a simple message! āwelcome back for your redoā. It was made such a big deal by this employee who called to reconfirm and he seemed to think it was funny to insist on telling me no. I just donāt think Mr. Barton G himself wouldāve disapproved of such a minor request when someone has made two successful attempts to patronize his establishment spending such an extensive amount of money for two people. And making a special same day turn around trip just to come here. Great atmosphere we were simply disappointed that it was made such a big deal a the staff went out of their way too make it not happen. Although there was a place when booking the reservation asking if there was a special note. It was almost as simple as saying happy birthday. Iāve been to Long Horn and for a $19.00 meal theyāll go as far to make you feel special by conveying a message. But a place where it cost thousands of dollars to visit! With flight and dinner was simply beyond me. And because this place is all about detailā it made it even worse. And the 1st time we ordered two! Of these! The waitress brung out one! Display we had to send her back! I donāt think so! We paid for two you bring two displays dont short change us! AND WE STILL TURNED AROUND A WEEK AND A HALF LATER AND CAME BACK FROM OUT OF TOWN AND DID IT AGAIN!!!!š§³ (our waitress this time was nice, the last one was horrible!) double money is outside (our 1st time) second single is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDear Barton G, We visited your location last night for the first time. It will be our last.
I will share the reasons why below, in hopes you see that this is an honest review of your offering. I sincerely hope you read this and make some changes. You need them.
1- CARELESSNESS Complete and utter disregard of the COVID-19 guidelines. Most your staff wears the mask covering the mouth only and quite a few of the guest walk around the restaurant without the mask. Your tables are very close to another. This is specially the case for table 55. (See Picture)
2- POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: It is evident you place more emphasis in packing your restaurant to the brim than the actual customer experience or safety of your guests (in our case) A respectable restaurant offering a dinner for two that can easily run you $250 should NOT have a table in a very narrow hallway NEXT TO THE BATHROOMS and right next to the door that leads to the outside dining area. Around 30 people walked right next to my boyfriend (many without a mask) while we ate. I can be ok with that at a burger joint, but not a place with your prices. (See Pictures)
3- FOOD QUALITY: Great food does NOT equal fancy, overthought food presentation. Just because you serve breaded, tasteless fried shrimp in an old-fashioned pop-corn machine does NOT mean your food is good. Your deviled eggs, while overpriced, are good. The carrots were hard undercooked. The steak was about average. We ate it because we were hungry but it was a waste of money.
Charging $40 for cotton candy is a stretch but those are your prices and I knew them before we got there.
The value you provide for the price you charge is simply NOT there.
Our waiter was ok. Do not put this on him.
We typically have coffee and desert everywhere we go but last night we just wanted to get the check and get out.
Note: please do not take the time to respond to my review. I would never go back to your restaurant even if it was...
