Terrible Experience at a Collins Pizza - Strongly Discouraging Visiting
My recent experience at a local pizzeria today on Christmas 2023 was absolutely horrendous, and I strongly discourage visiting this place. It felt like a complete scam, with the quality of the pizza falling far below expectations.
I had ordered an 18' pizza, specifically requesting half 4 cheese and half pepperoni. However, when I arrived home and opened the box, I was shocked to find a plain margarita pizza instead of the 4 cheeses I had ordered. To make matters worse, I was charged $40 for this incorrect order.
Realizing the mistake, I immediately contacted the pizzeria to report the incident. Since I lived nearly 30 minutes away, I requested that they rectify the error by replacing the pizza. However, to my surprise, the manager was extremely uncooperative and insisted that I bring the pizza back to them for an exchange.
Unfortunately, the manager refused to honor my request and flatly denied giving us the correct pizza. This level of service was not only disrespectful but also displayed a complete lack of professionalism.
The entire experience left a bitter taste in our mouths. The manager's dismissive attitude and refusal to make things right only added to our frustration. It felt as if they were trying to take advantage of us, leaving us feeling cheated and deceived.

Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of this pizza place for a long time, and I’ve always loved the food and the location. My partner and I have seen the restaurant go through several changes in staff and management over the years, and until recently, the service had always been great.
Unfortunately, our experience last night was very disappointing. We arrived at 10:17 p.m., well before the posted closing time of 11:00 p.m. (as stated on their website for Tuesdays). However, the staff member at the counter refused to seat us, saying the restaurant was closed and only accepting takeout orders. When I pointed out the posted hours, the staff member became argumentative instead of offering a reasonable explanation.
I returned today to speak to the manager in hopes of resolving the issue. Instead of listening or showing concern for a long-time customer’s feedback, the manager accused me of being xenophobic, which was both hurtful and completely unfounded. I teach at a college and work closely with immigrant communities—including Brazilian students—and the accusation felt like a deflection rather than an honest attempt to address the situation. I also felt that the manager was a hypocrite because many Brazilians feel superior to Latin culture just because they speak Portuguese.

I retuned to the location and was treated with complete disrespect and disdain by the cook as well as the owner The owner, with whom I spoke on the phone, not only refused to comp me for the pizza but called me a jerk, insinuating that I was blowing the situation out of proportion. He said “sorry but these things happen”. The cook who has a large cut on his right elbow, accused me of planting the bandaid to try to get a free meal. Wow, I didn’t think it was possible but a new low has been reached. I am a local resident, was a frequent customer, and in the past their pizza has actually been quite good. But the staff and ownership’s complete dismissal of the situation and defensiveness makes one really question the cleanliness and health standards of this place. Disgusting to say the least, a general health risk might be more appropriate. I returned to the location yet again to wait to speak with the owner in person but he never materialized. At that point the new hire at the register actually gave me a full refund in cash and assured me that the staff would not have to cover it. That one employee was the only person who treated me with any decency or showed any empathy whatsoever.
