Gigi Master Stylist — Local services in Miami Beach

We moved to Miami Beach in January 2024 and finding a new hair salon in a new city is always mildly terror-inducing, so it took me until May to take the leap. I found Gigi through a Google search. After reading so many great reviews, I called to make an appointment. I am very glad I decided to try her first!

Gigi's salon is in a perfect location within walking distance from my apartment, and everything is clean and very nice. Gigi spent all the time in the world with me, asking questions and coming up with a plan for my poor neglected hair. She worked a lot of hours over the course of two days: stripping my old color out, doing several conditioning/nourishing treatments (I needed more than one), and recoloring my hair beautifully. I cannot believe how soft and healthy my hair feels!

I have a halo extension I call my 'party hair' that I will wear out sometimes for events (and she color matched my hair to it by just glancing at it once!). But honestly, I didn't even wear it for several events after our appointment because it was sooooo nice to feel that my hair looked just fine without it (which has never been the case!)

I was a bit sad when it was time to wash/style my hair for the first time after my appointment, because our hair never looks as good when we do it ourselves as it does in the salon chair, BUT - I purchased two products that she used on me and recommended, and my hair looks (and feels!) the same as when I left the salon every time (which has ALSO never been the case!)

I have a long way to go to get my hair super healthy and strong, but I am so grateful Gigi is right...

From the minute you enter her chic Parisian-feeling salon, you know you've stepped away from the madness of Miami Beach and entered a world of peaceful elegance.

The instrumental jazz in the background, the one-on-one attention from Gigi, and the way she honors your time there by not multitasking or being distracted in other ways is a combination that adds up to a spa like experience for the soul while the hair benefits from her decades of continual training (mostly from Montreal) and experience.

The way she transformed my kinda-okay-but-tired-and-drab hair to well-nourished (she only uses vegan products), glossy, cut and styled exactly as the picture I showed her in three hours elevated the experience from craft to art.

Gigi is an artiste who has created a little calm oasis in the middle of Miami Beach where our hair is her canvas.

HIGHLY recommend, but do schedule ahead of time as she refuses to be rushed with...

Best stylist in Miami! Been going to Gigi for my color and regular trims. She’s the only person I would trust with my hair. She constantly educates herself on latest coloring techniques/haircuts as well as treatments. She is truly an expert stylist. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a stylist who is especially an expert colorist. She can pull off any color request you have as well as haircut. I’m grateful for her services, she was able to preserve the health of my hair despite me coloring my hair every few weeks or changing color. She’s also very sweet and pleasant to to talk to so it won’t be a dreaded salon...
