I would have given it 5 stars, but I couldn’t because of the lack of cleanliness. The bagels are delicious, especially the Everything Bagel. The coffee is not so good. The problem with Einstein is that the people who make the bagels grab the trays that all the customers touch with the gloves they wear making our bagels. Any germs that a customer has are transferred to the tray, and then the bagel maker touches that tray and spreads the germs to your bagels. It is not very sanitary. I can’t think of any other large fast food chain that has the cook touching the customer handled trays while preparing food. McDonalds doesn’t do it, Wendy’s doesn’t do it, Subway doesn’t do it... they have trays at the cash, and they are not handled by the people preparing your food, unless they take off the gloves (like at Subway) or the cashier places the already wrapped up food item and places it on the tray. I have brought this to the attention of the head office two times, and they never do anything about it. This can easily be corrected by simply wrapping up the bagel as if it was to go (same way McDonalds wraps up their burgers), and then the food items is placed on a tray at the cash (never handled by the chef wearing gloves preparing your food), then the customer grabs the tray. Problem solved, and a lot less germs spreading. Another thing I see often is the people preparing the food with gloves, sometimes keep their gloves on to do the cash, or touch the coffee machine. I saw one lady working there answering her cell phone while she still had her food preparation gloves on. The employees don’t always change their gloves after handing the cash, phones, public coffee machines etc. The tables and window sills are always full of crumbs and rarely wiped. Before I sit down at the table, I have to wipe the table myself. It’s a shame!! I love your bagels - I give them 5 stars, and I will continue to be a customer, I just wish the food practices and locations would be more clean. I order an Avocado, Tomato, and Bacon Egg White sandwich each time. As if it’s not in the name itself, I check the egg white option on my order. Do they put egg white on there? No, they decide to completely ignore the recipe and instructions by putting a whole egg. I spoke with the manager at this location and he told me next time I order, I should call them and make sure they put egg white. Why should I have to take that additional step of calling when it’s in the instructions? Then this last time (which was yesterday) I ordered to try and give them another chance, I always order my sandwich on Asiago bagel. And what do they do? Remember the egg white but put it on Onion bagel. It’s like no one cares to pay attention to customers orders. Honestly, they need to take the delivery option away if they’re going to keep this up and not follow the instructions customers put for their order. The Sunny Isles location is a little far for me, but worth the travel to get there because the customer experience is a thousand times better. Read moreI work literally 20 yards from them. Ordered pretty the same thing everyday. Customer service just awful, no welcome, thank you, good bye's.. NONE. Employee so miserable to work at that place especially this girl Mailyn... By far the worst employee who ever set foot on that bagel joint. 2X she f@&ked my orders, both time didn't even bothered to apologize. Once I complaint to the Manager and apparently either the management failed to inform her about her service or she just pretty much didn't give a s#!t about customer service. I ordered California Lox sandwich in which has a Lox, cucumber, red union, ginger sauce and smear of avocado on sesame bagel. I arrived home and i opened the sandwich and its literally a handful of red union on it, only one slice of cucumber and thin slice of Lox...for $9+.....a f@#kin RED UNION sandwich for $9 ?
