Decent Mexican restaurant with nice staff and good amount of space inside and outside seating. The elote was almost one whole ear broken into two and tasted kind of old. You can tell when corn isn’t fresh even with piled on cheese and sauces. The side of rice and beans were good portions for the price and pretty tasty. We enjoyed that the refitted beans were black beans; much tastier than regular. The nachos was a smaller portion than expected, with not as much flavor and toppings. No salsa and guacamole was an extra $6! The start of the show was the plátanos en agave ahumado…really tasty and delicious. Very small portions for the price. Lemonade was extremely sweet. Waitress was sweet but we felt like she forgot about us sometimes. Had to request water refill and they forgot our sauces on the side. It was filling but not the best food. The women’s restroom was disgusting. The toilet was stuffed up and there was no toilet paper. The men’s room only has a urinal! Ugh terrible

I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Rancho Grande, a Mexican restaurant situated in the heart of Miami Beach. From start to finish, the experience was highly enjoyable. The service was commendable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure that every aspect of our meal was perfect. Their warm hospitality added to the overall positive dining experience. The food at El Rancho Grande is definitely a highlight. Each dish was flavorful and authentically Mexican. However, the standout for me was the Tequilamisu, a unique and delightful twist on the classic tiramisu dessert, infused with a shot of tequila. This inventive combination was a delightful surprise and perfectly executed, blending the rich flavors of tiramisu with the distinctive kick of tequila. El Rancho Grande is a must-visit for anyone in Miami Beach looking for delicious Mexican cuisine served with excellent hospitality. I look forward to returning to savor more of their delightful dishes.

Today is 5 de mayo, and I have to say that the owners owe the manager a lot, first of all the service was good, we had an Argentinian server that he was great and help us along the lunch. The issue appeared at the moment of asking for tap water, they say that they not provide it during a holiday, also they add a service charge of 20% that doesn’t include the tip and we only found out about it at the moment of paying. Luckily the manager was extremely nice and helped us taking out the service but the owners should know better. All in all the place is nice just avoid days like this or ask about everything before placing the order.

The service here is not good. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner last night, the food was good so I will give them two stars, but service was terrible. When we arrived we were about the second or third table there. We got our drinks and the chips and after that we couldn’t get our servers attention for about 45 minutes. another 3 tables came in the same server was very attentive, and they got EVERYTHING before us and he was constantly at their table, I mean he was running back and fourth to there tables any chance he got like he was in a marathon. Each and every table that came in after us, he was an amazing server to them. When I asked for my soda refill, it was an additional 20 minutes before I got it. Not to mention, it took over an hour for my boyfriend to receive his food while the other tables ordered the same things as us and got their food first. I didn’t get my food until 25 minutes after his meal came out and he was done eating. The food was also cold. Not to mention another server who wasn’t in charge of our table, came and offered us a dessert for our wait. We took the tres leches hoping things would change a bit in service…. Then OUR server came about ten minutes after the other server already asked us about desert, and he offered us churros on him, even after we told him that the server prior already offered us a free dessert. He still charged us for the “free” dessert and when we confronted him about it, he wanted us to speak to the manager after he and the other server were the ones who offered the free deserts. They had excuses on top of excuses. I noticed that the tables he was very attentive to, all had alcohol drinks and ordered lots of food, and they spoke spanish. I guess these servers are only attentive to tables with a higher total bill and Spanish speakers. I hate to bring race into this but i was not the only one who had a bad “racial” experience here when numerous people in our resort told us about how prejudice they can be. My boyfriend was the only black person in the entire restaurant and the service was terrible for us, while all the other tables were very attended to. This restaurant might just be good for take out. Like I said, the food was good, but the service for POC is...

I wanted to like this place, I really did. The server was nice enough and the mango Margherita was pretty good. My experience however was marred by a few things:

Asked for chips n salsa that never came. This is a Mexican restaurant mind you.

The prices. My daughter ordered a plain quesadilla that came out to 3 slices with a side of salsa for... $15.50?

My daughter also ordered unsweetened ice tea which had a rancid taste to it.. like a dirty sponge. I asked the server if she could have the sweetened tea instead, that the first tea had a weird taste, and they brought her a second tea (about 8oz size). Both teas had the same taste. She left the tea full and drank water instead...

I ordered the special (tacos birria) but the shells were soggy, completely soft like they were reheated. Not a huge deal but when I asked for a little more of the hot salsa it came with (roughly 1 teaspoon worth is all they gave me in a little metal cup) the server told me she would have to charge me $0.75 for more. Keep in mind I'm paying a bill for 5 people that came in over $170.

When I got the bill I saw the order of chips and salsa that we never got on the bill and had to ask them to take it off the bill. As for the tea, they charged me $10 for 2 8oz glasses of tea that we complained about. Server went to talk to her boss who was sitting at the bar and I was told one glass was half full and I would be charged despite the complaint. I'm talking literally $0.05 worth of dirty tea and they refused to take it off my bill.

There are hundreds of better restaurants in town for you to spend your money at....

Understand if you come here, come for the food and bar only. The value and service are absent from this place. They do not offer any complimentary water, chips, salsa, or tortillas. We ordered an appetizer that they reccommended as a special for the night, but we never saw it until after our meal came out, so we declined to accept it. The staff were more concerned with watching the soccer match than providing any service whatsoever. We never could get a refill on our water. We ordered a bottle of coke & were never asked if we wanted anything else to drink. They brought us very thin, clear plastic boxes that didn't hold the weight of our food & stood at the table watching the soccer match while we tried to pack our own food. They are not microwave safe, so make sure you have containers to reheat your food if you are going back to thw hotel room. They expected us to pour the sauces & refried beans into the boxes - we had to explain to them why we needed to go bowls for these. They charged us an additional fee for 3 extra tortillas when they only gave us 4 tortillas with our order, which is one of the biggest meals on their menu. They said it was intended to feed 4 & only gave 5 tortillas. They said they had a party pack of fajitas we could order to go, but then charged the full price×10 for the to go order & charged extra for a small bag of chips and a 4 oz container of salsa. Overall, we are aware that there are Latino restaurants with better value and service, so we will not be returning. In total we spent $230 Parking is a nightmare, so try to get a Lyft or Uber or taxi to drop you off...
