I love the steakhouse at the Betsy. The restaurant at the hotel has the best food on ocean drive. Also, the atmosphere is more relaxed than the rest of ocean drive (with live music and lower key outdoor seating) and easy to get a table. On Fridays they sometimes have mini challahs out for guests. Favorite foods: - popover (this comes with the meal and is phenomenal and pretty filling on its own). - salmon is greet (they have a seasonal one now that has jalapeño dressing I haven’t tried this salmon dish yet) - bone in short rib (so tasty, fall of the bone, maybe a little salty, but really flavorful). - Burrata flatbread is great too. Atmosphere: - sitting outside provides great ocean drive people watching) - sitting inside provides great ambiance with live music (piano and/or jazz). - Sometimes I sit at the bar when I am by myself. - pro tip/secret: If you grab a drink take it to the roof top deck that doesn’t serve alcohol, but has one of the best ocean drive views on the strip. On the way up, take a look at the backstage photos of the Beatles on tour. I believe the photos come from one of the tour manager’s kids. Lastly, the hotel is named the Betsy after the owners dog. If you are lucky enough you might get to meet Betsy (and Ross) in the lobby. Two beautiful dogs they don’t bite, but the bill might after the amazing dinner! Enjoy!

I travelled to Miami for a retreat and went to this restaurant twice. Once for dinner and the next day for brunch. Dinner was fabulous. I had the branzino which was served on a bed of spinach and I ordered the jalapeno potato puree as a side. For dessert I had the creme fraiche Panna cotta. Everything was delicious. The coconut lime sorbet served as a companion with the panna Cotta was so yummy! The panna cotta was a little sour so the sweetness from the sorbet balanced it perfectly. If you like popovers they serve them fresh and hot from the oven. My second experience the following day at this restaurant was not as enjoyable. I went for brunch. I ordered pancakes and a side of chicken sausage. I asked for the fruit that they put on top of the pancakes to be served on the side. For $19 I received two pancakes that were, in my opinion, small. The chicken sausage on the other hand was a sizeable portion for the $5 price. The pancakes were not tasty at all. I would definitely come back to this restaurant for dinner. A 20% "service charge" is added to every check regardless of the number of people dining. I dine alone both times and the service charge was added to my bill. My waitress confirmed that the service charge is the tip.

First time — just walking by and once I realized it was the Betsy I said “oh let’s try it!”. It was good! Not fabulous, but good! 1. Started with the coconut shrimp roll. That was great… 2. had the local grilled snapper - very healthy fillet (was a pretty fat fish) — very fresh. The shiitake mushrooms were cold — not sure they were supposed to be but tasted good — nice bitter flavor. The avocado sauce over the bed of couscous was delish; 3. Had the wagyu skirt steak MR. Well cooked. You know how a skirt steak can have a little line of sinew running through it? Yeah…had that. It didn’t ruin it all — flavor was outstanding. 4. Sides — Bbq corn. If you want corn don’t be surprised if this tastes like Bbq — or course it’s in the advertising but I expected it to be more subtle. Not a fan and not their fault. Grilled asparagus was PERF. Service was great! Atmosphere was great — though the A/C was blowing strong. I’d come back if it wasn’t so pricey. $250 for two (1 shared app, 2 entrees, 2 veggies, no alcohol)…

When I go to a restaurant there are three things I'm looking for; food, service, and atmosphere. LT Steak & Seafood definitely won my heart over by achieving all 3 of these. First off, as you walk into The Betsy you will see the restaurant directly to your left. Trust me, you won't miss it. The interior is beautiful; dark walls and ceiling with clean, neutral colors for thick moldings, really giving it a nice contrast. The main wall is filled with vintage photographs, which I really loved because it allowed me to go back in time. It's history on a wall, who doesn't like that? The restaurant is sophisticated but relaxing and of course, the service does not fall short. We visited the restaurant a couple times during our stay but we ordered food from the restaurant a few more times. The beauty of LT is the ability to enjoy the food not only in the restaurant but at the Pool Deck, The Conservatory, and Lobby. I'm sure you can order room service as well if you choose to go that route. Wherever you choose to eat just know you will not be disappointed with the quality and service. We tried a variety of dishes so I'll list our favorites: Boucher Burger, Crispy Black Grouper Tacos, Yellowtail & Jalapeño sushi, Soy-Wasabi Ahí Tuna Tartare, Spicy Tuna Roll, Short Rib Bao Bun.... and their Popovers are DELICIOUS! A mixture of cheeses, buttery-soft on the inside and crispy/ flaky on the outside. Mimosas are great here for brunch along with their continental breakfast, which is one of the best in my opinion. You have the option of sausage or bacon, two eggs any style, the bread of your choice, house potatoes, a cup of fruits and a small salad on the side with a coffee or juice. That's of course included with your stay at the hotel but there are plenty of other choices to pick from. I think the menu has a great variety for anyone to enjoy from hand selected steaks, some of the most beautiful salads, and a raw bar selection. Chef Laurent Tourondel does a great job at incorporating Miami's energy into his flavors and beautiful dishes. Michael and Rene at LT Steak and Seafood were the two amazing servers that attended us during our stay. Thanks, guys! I WILL be...

Food was great and so was the atmosphere, the service was very unprofessional which ruined the entire experience. Food was great( avocado roll and branzino). The decor and vibe were great, very classy, live pianist, old school feel. Service- BAD from both the server and the host. My server took my order and disappeared, after 45 minutes, I walked to a host asking what is happening, and he said he will check on in. Finally 20 minutes later my order arrived, still no server. I then see my server walking by me and he gave me one of those not so nice stares, did not come over or apologize for disappearing. Then, the host brings me a check with 20% tip included. I told him that the server did not deserve a 20% tip. He agreed and adjusted the check and also removed one glass of wine from the check which was nice and he said that the server had an emergency and had to run home. My point is this: it is the role of the restaurant management to cover employee emergencies, etc. smoothly so that the client has a nice time and is not aware of the many things that can go wrong on the back end, I did not need to be aware of any emergencies. They should have had sent a new server right away to me. It is also the role of the management to train their servers to apologize for any offenses. People do not go to South Beach restaurants just to eat, they go to have an experience, a nice time while out on vacation while also having a nice meal. In this case the restaurant management fell short, which ruined the...
