I'd never had the Feast of the Seven Fishes, even though I'm half Italian. The Miami New Times posted an article about where to eat Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the Miami metropolitan area. The Lure Fishbar caught my attention partly because the fixed price four course menu was affordable ($65), while other places were priced up to $195. That coupled with the photographs of the interior was enough to sell me on the place. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had in my life. Started off at the bar with a Four B's cocktail that featured Bulleit bourbon. This is one of the best craft bourbon cocktails I have ever tasted. Proceeded to my table and started off with a glass of Taittinger Brut champagne and four Beau Soleil New Brunswick East Coast oysters on the half shell. Both the champagne and the oysters were chilled to perfection. The presentation of the oysters was spectacular. Carefully shucked in their deep cup, with delicious liquor. They came with cocktail sauce, mignonette and two cute little bottles of Tabasco sauce. I chose a glass of 2015 Simonnet-Febvre Chablis with my meal. The first course of my dinner was an Ora King Salmon Crudo. Artfully prepared with a clever combination of herbs, spices, olives and pine nuts. The second course was a Frito Misto featuring calamari and shrimp with an arugula pesto and beurre fondue. The server poured a bit of the fondue over the dish from a small saucière. My only regret was I didn't have a way to savor more of the fondue once I had consumed the course. It was amazing! The third course was Cioppino: a pan-roasted snapper with mussels, octopus, San Marzano tomato, crab butter and focaccia. Quite a delicious cap-off before dessert. One minor detail was overlooked: one of the mussels was not open, so I chose not to consume it. I inserted an uramaki spicy tuna roll before the dessert course, an artistic interpretation of Chocolate Tiramisu. Ended my night with an exceptional espresso. This was one of the most near perfect dining experiences I've ever had in my life. My only complaints are that the water glass remained empty too long throughout the night and at times the service was a bit sluggish and inattentive. It's difficult being a party of one. I was also impressed with the care and attention to detail I saw being paid to the matter of cleaning the tables in preparation for new guests. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Bravo!

I have been coming to lure since I was in NYC (2015) and when I moved to Miami was ecstatic they had a spot here. My husband had never tried it, so as soon as they opened post COVID, I booked us a date night. I was extremely pleased with the service, and our server Matthew was above and beyond amazing. My husband was so pleased with the food, service and ambiance that we already booked it again for our next date night :). The manager Lucas was also very kind and you could tell really cared for his staff and the guests visiting the restaurant. They did have a smaller menu due to Covid-but shared they will be bringing back those items soon and I cannot wait! Everything was perfect, and now my husband loves this place as much as I do.

We're avid eaters and are always skeptical of anything in areas as touristy as South Beach but our meal at Lure was very good. Started with some oysters and shrimp into the octopus then the crispy snapper, finishing it off with the creme brulee. I couldn't really tell you which was best. The snapper said it was for two but we could barely finish it. Huge chunks of meat nicely breaded and fried almost orange chicken style. I usually like to pick the whole fish clean myself but it was way easier to eat. Don't forget to pick at the fish bones though, they left plenty! The real hero of the meal was that freaking creme brulee, I regret not ordering 10 of them.

Horrible experience! On September 5, 2015. Our reservations were at 8:30 pm for a party of 8, unfortunately one could not make it so our table hosted 7 guest. Upon sitting down we were promptly welcomed by our waiter and drink orders taken. From then on, service was extremely slow in getting the food out with long periods of time in between courses. Upon finally getting our entrees, all but the Shrimp entrees and the sushi were just above room temperature (sushi entrée was delivered with appetizers). At this point, wanting to express our dissatisfaction verbally we refrained due to our local friend was hosting and head of the table. Since he made the reservation we did not want to be rude by complaining, although it was obvious on everyone’s face that dinner had gone downhill. We all immediately asked for the check before the desserts were brought to the table, as the service already indicated it would take a while to get them. When the checks were initially distributed, they were incorrect regardless of us advising of the different parties prior to any ordering. Once the checks were corrected and distributed, we immediately provided our payment and left as quickly as possible.

The next day, I call to speak with the manager regarding my partner and I’s experience. The experience and quality of the food did not even come close to the monetary value paid. I spoke with Marco, who advised he was the general manager and stated he assisted in waiting on our table. He quickly advised that I should have brought it to his attention at the time, which he is correct. But as express above, we were not the head of the table. His presence was only in the beginning serving us the wine and we had no further interaction with him from then on. The only option he provided was to come back in for complimentary drink or appetizer. The issue is that we do not live in Miami so I declined and asked again for at least partial reimbursement. He quickly declined.

It is obvious that dinner did not go as planned since he remembers all the details from our table without assisting. Being the general manager and knowing the delay, I would have expected him to address and apologize for the inconveniences while we were present. Neither him nor the waiter provided any sympathy for the service. By the time we left, we had been at the restaurant for 2.5 hours and served room temperature food. Not the experience we should have been provided for the amount spent.

Would not recommend this restaurant, so many others in the area...

So overpriced for the quality of food and service. It took 30 minutes for one sushi roll, and 50 minutes of waiting for our entrees before our server told us that there was a problem with the printer and our entrees were just being started. I understand that computer issues happen, but why wasn't that noticed when the entrees weren't delivered after the appropriate ticket time? I was brought a complimentary glass of wine which I did not want or drink. At this time I noticed that other tables who were sat before us were either finishing their entrees or paying their checks. From my seat I could see every table in the restaurant, and about a third of the tables were empty, and about 8 employees on the floor, so I don't understand the poor service. When the food finally came out, another 20 minutes later it was just OK. Wasn't bad, but comparable to banquet food at a country club. Not worth the price tag. The server came by and asked how everything was, I said mine was good but my date expressed his steak was not prepared the way he liked it. The server argued that it was medium, but my date clearly did not like it. Another entree was not offered, nor an apology. When we got our bill, we were surprised to see that we were charged for everything, despite the fact that we were unhappy. On top of that, a 20% gratuity was added onto our check. We would have given a proper tip regardless, but it is ridiculous that we had to pay 200+ for a horrible experience. We ended up wasting about 2 hours at this restaurant, and we were still hungry when we left. Good thing there was a McDonald's on...
