How do you do a fair review of a magical little shop? By being fair! The overall atmosphere of Million Delights is that you are being served a slice of Japan on a plate. The decor is impeccable down to the anime logo! Greeneries and slick contemporary look. The Cheesecake is fluffy and delicious and must be understood for what it is: not Cheesecake Factory, Japanese simple elegance cheesecake. Having said that I will add that although customer service was friendly, it comes across very inexperienced, rigid and full of rules and this can be perceived by a few as rudeness. Here in America we are used to more yesses than nos - - specially in Miami. Customers must be able to use the bathroom and buy a slice of cheese cake at the last minute before you shut your doors. This is what you sell, Cheesecake! Donāt frustrate your customer who is looking at whole cakes on your display by telling them you wonāt cut a slice. Sacrifice the cake, win the customer, good reviews and recommendations. Go the extra mile, accept the credit card for the customer who wants to try a slice only of Japanese Cheesecake for the first time! Minimum credit card charges are stupid in a business of your caliber, it is the cost of business. Create experiences, not frustrations. When launching a rocket, even Nasa has to adapt the original plans. Please adapt and you will fly high. I am hoping this is taken as constructive criticism by management. Letās give them a chance to live to their potential, their cheesecake is good. Eat the cake, ask for the change, hopefully...

Iāve been a loyal customer for a few years and have seen this place change a lot. It started as a great boba tea lounge with Japanese cheesecakes, but now itās more of a random pastry shop selling whatever the owner brings to the shop to sell. I miss the original vibe, but I kept coming back.
Lately, though, the boba teas have been hit or miss, it really depends on who makes them. At this point, theyāre just not worth the price.
What really bothered me today was seeing an automatic gratuity added to my receipt and the staff didnāt mention it. The girl serving me didnāt let me know about it, so I ended up leaving an extra tip on top of that without realizing. When I asked her about it, she said she didnāt know when the policy started and that the automatic tip doesnāt go to her, just the extra tip does. So either the owner is stealing from the staff, or sheās is lying to get extra tips. Either way, it didnāt seem right.
Iāve stuck with this place through all its changes, but the lack of honesty and transparency is a deal-breaker for me. Sadly, I wonāt be coming back.
I will definitely not buy mediocre boba tea that comes with automatic...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a fan of the Japanese Cheesecake but have been turned off by the 15% automatic gratuity. I went in to the counter to purchase the cake to go. Unfortunately, the employee did not speak english so she couldn't answer my questions about the cake. She also didn't understand my question about the total cost. I noticed it was a very high total with tax included. Higher than normal. She couldn't explain. I proceeded to check out and once the receipt was printed I could see the 15% service charge. How can you charge a service charge when the employee cant even speak to you and answer questions? I wasn't sitting and ordering anything. I walked to counter, pointed to the cake and was ready to check out. It's really disappointing that the owner has decided to add this exorbitant fee to the bill. You're hardly a restaurant. People come in, order drinks or deserts, mainly at the counter. You should pay your employees properly and not rely on service charges for their salary. Especially when there is hardly any service being given. And theres a tip jar on the counter!...
