MiniBar Miami — Restaurant in Miami Beach

I’ve never been one to comment or complain about a business. My wife and I have been frequenting this spot for years. We loved the genuine and down to earth energy the entire place had. Music, service, cocktails were completely unmatched to any bar in the area by far. Unfortunately it’s completely changed—and not for the better. The entire staff and atmosphere has drastically changed. The bartender was not knowledgeable at all, had a really bad attitude, and the overall service felt careless. On top of making us the wrong drinks, also charged us the wrong bill.

The main reason for this review- The quality of clientele that it has attracted is atrocious. There was a prostitute, wearing close to no clothing at all, casually and openly soliciting to myself and other men in way that made a lot of people uncomfortable, including my wife. It felt wildly inappropriate that this was allowed while employees could clearly notice and commented on as well. I don’t know what’s happened here, but it’s definitely not the same place it used to be.

Be ready to pay. I asked for a cocktail menu and he said they didn’t receive the shipment for things on that menu so need to give me one. So I ordered 2 margaritas. He handed me the receipt and said “it has auto gratuity”. I looked down, $50!

I see the owner comments below that it’s stated “clearly” on their menus, well I asked and didn’t get a menu and had no idea. How is this right? I find this practice wrong, sneaky and just unpleasant. I always tip, but we should be able to choose. 20% on a drink is a lot.

I never leave reviews btw. I live in CA and am used to expensive food/drink but I hope you take this into consideration for change because your bar is cute, but I wish I chose a different bar for my one night here so I had a better...

Great vibe and drinks. The music, the drinks, the staff all great. Located off 5th Street in a residential area, the bar, as its name indicates, is small, but the atmosphere and drinks fill the space. Seating at 2 corner tables and a few others by the door and at the bar. It’s like having friends over to your place…intimate, friendly, and fun.
