DO NOT EAT HERE. This has to be the worst place to eat at in Midtown. From phone call to coming in for a meal. Not worth it. I called the restaurant to confirm if they would be able to swap out an item because my co-worker was on the way to purchase food for the shop and the person picked up and after i asked about the order details she hung up the phone on me and so i figured they were busy so I decided to meet with my co-worker at the restaurant to make sure i receive the right meal since I did have success with the call. I informed the manager of the issue when i got their and they completely ignored the issue happened and proceeded to ask me what i would like to order. I then ordered my food inside with a very rude waitress who seemed like she didn't even want to take my order and was instructed to go to the window to pay after. I go to the window where my food nor my payment was ever taken for about 30-40 minutes in that time 7 people were taken care of before me. My co-worker received her food and went to tip the young waitress which she just snatched the tip and placed it in the jar without a sign of care. I asked to speak to the manager again and the women with blond hair at the window ignored me and smirked and walked away. After a long sigh of frustration from the disrespect pretty much from everyone and not receiving my food I went back inside to talk to someone who could help me and everyone proceeded to ignore me which i patiently waited for a response another customer agreed with me that the service isn't the best at all and they only come here because they live in the area. I just think from the perspective of someone who is in customer service industry this place is not the best in terms of customer care. For a place to have so much history they have terrible service. Ignoring your customers that have a concern is the worst mistake this...
Read moreWe drove from West Palm Beach to try this place! O course, we made it a whole day after that. Enriqueta’s: one of the most traditional and authentic eateries in Miami. It’s a family tradition, it’s a homey place in the best meaning of the word and it’s real, no BS here.
If you go to Enriqueta’s for the first time, these are the quick things to keep in mind:
The Cubano sandwich was great; the pan con lechon came second at”good”. Those sandwiches are big, and they were more than enough for us, didn’t get anything else. Service took some time, but we were fine, enjoying the scene and the waiting staff was courteous. Keep in mind they also have a “ventana”, that’s window service and there always a line in there too.
Something that caught my attention was that the ladies in the kitchen were rushing, cooking this and that nonstop and they were smiling, joking with each other, seeming to have a good time, in spite of the very fast pace they had to keep. Definitely not something you see every day, I guess they are well treated there.
Last but not least, prices are very reasonable so Enriqueta’s makes not only for a tasty lunch but also for a cheap one. There is nothing not like here. I will...
Read moreI’ve been looking for the perfect cuban sandwich of Miami the last month or so.
Various factors (Conclusion at the bottom if you want to skip the analysis)-
(1) Price- They charged me approx. $15 for the double cuban sandwich which was WORTH IT. I wish I would have taken a picture, but it was so delicious that I ate it all hahaha
(2) Size- This thing was HUGE with a LOT of cooked pork in it. It measured around 10 inches long, 6 inches wide, 5 inches thick. This thing was a beast.
(3) Flavor- This double cuban sandwich came with so much flavor that I was full and still kept eating it. That’s how good it was, and to top it off they put a mojo flavor on the side which made the sandwich 1,000 times more rich in flavor.
(4) Service- Lucía which answered my call when making the order and gave me the sandwich was so nice and treated me so well that I just felt as if I was back home with family.
(5) Location- It’s hard to get here since there is very limited parking space and it’s in the corner of a 4 way traffic line. But there’s plenty of parking on the street. If it’s to eat and get treated like this I would have walked 10 miles if necessary to be honest LOL
*Conclusion- This is the best cuban sandwich I’ve had in the 4 years I’ve lived in Miami 100% recommend this place for the...
