đSo I asked for a refill, during the late night hours, via the drive-thru. Little did I know, that before their eyes, this amounts to a cardinal sin. One of the associates advised that I should wait, as she assisted others. Much is lost in the retelling of the storyâŠmeaning it wasnât quite as nice as one would expect.
She didnât return and I asked another of the associates who said the manager said no -refill - this after waiting 20 minutes. At that time, I asked to speak to the manager and was asked to wait. Again, more time passed and the original girl who had told me to wait passed by. As I tapped on the window, she could clearly hear me and proceeded to go about her activities and intentionally ignored me.
Other people came by on foot, and I assisted in translating, as a courtesy to both the associate - I have tremendous respect for immigrants - as much for the people working as for the people who were walking up. It is very much a reflection of my values to bring forth the best qualities in those who wish to embrace immigrants but face a language barrier. This was done for a total of 7 individuals. 𧻠This is what they think of you đœ!!!
The associate at the window sought to close the window on me, in a manner which was inappropriate.
When I mentioned this, her reply was that âshe has to keep it closed.â
Ultimately, I bought another coke and got it.
The principle here is professionalism and to come to the window and speak with me is all that I was asking for - I was clear about it.
It is my understanding that the managerâs name is Rose. She is McMiserable!!!
The store operates under an outrageous level of lack of professionalism, with the true exception being an associate named Daniel. He is a true McDonalds professional. The unspoken culture, where we read between the lines, is that they are employed in this position to be tolerated and customers are there to wait for them until they get around to the âfavorâ of giving them their food. As an example, an UBER driver was instructed in a less than courteous manner to exit the drive-thru area and go to - having to get out of her car, already being at the drive-thru window, and this being her job that she needs to get to the customer - a designated pickup window on the side of the building. The lady was - not surprisingly - McFurious!!! đ
If for nothing else, the assistance in helping to bridge that language barrier should have been enough to offer a simple drink. The lack of attention and decency is horrible.
Wait times are lengthy, the food starts to get cold, and itâs always served with a Large side of McAttitude!!! Mark my word: regular visits will yield the results of picking up some of the language. Among the phrases you will learn are: âhechate âpa allĂĄ,â which means âgo over THEREâ - the hand gestures are an added perk of McSpanish 101.
Donât get me started on having to walk back and forth, for three round trips, between the pickup and order window, with a twisted ankle that the staff knew about, only to be told each time that the person at the order window was now there, when they truly were not. What is lost in retelling the story is the staff member facing forward - not at meâŠ:but forward - and barely acknowledging oneâs existence. When I came back, with my foot throbbing, the other would not even open the window to talk to me, until I insisted and waited for her to come. A picture of the order window is attached in this review, showing no one there. But when the cars are leaving the order window at the time, one carries the label of demanding and conflictive; it how their game worksâŠ.you at that point are prompted to have your sorry heard and validated. However, they have multiple chess pieces and you have just yourself as...
Read moreThe worst drive thru window ever!! The managers allow Postmates & UberEats drivers to walk up, wedge their bodies between other customer's vehicles and the pick up window to "ask questions", and make orders in between cars that are already waiting in line, these walk-up people are cutting in front of everyone that have been left waiting AT THE WINDOW..when it was their turn to pick up their already "paid for food"... .Causing a huge delay in everyone waiting in the drive thru line. cars honking, people upset by seeing what these managers allow.
I have pointed it out to the managers Barbara & Wesley about this being not only dangerous...but uncomfortable as a drive thru customer,...they dont care..I advised them i was going to call corporate..and they had another employee come to the window to tell me in a smug matter-a-fact way to "go ahead".
I do not want someone sweaty or yacking on their phone, coughing and spitting on the ground next to my car window while i get my food and make my transaction with the person at the window. terrible !!!!!
The managers do not care !!! They just shrug their shoulders and blame it on Postmates & Ubereats. Wesley (the manager) said some Ubereats/postmates people dont have cars or bikes...( that they are on foot) and we all know that its not true ..regardless its wrong to allow people to cut in & walk up to the drive thru window on foot. If they choose to go on foot, then they need to go inside the restaurant like everyone else who is on foot, or if using a vehicle or a bike they can make the line like everyone does thru the drive and wait for their turn and NOT cut in in front and in between other customers...it's just WRONG !!!.
I also overheard one of the ubereats/postmates drivers mumble and gripe, "that the reason they use the window is because they dont know english"...( what does that have anything to do with this issue???...are they being lazy ?? and just trying to get over and get their order in faster than the rest of the other people making the line?!?! NOT FAIR !! THIS MCDONALDS SHOULD NOT PERMIT THIS !!
The common complaint I have read about this McDonalds is that the service through the drive thru is super slow...
AGAIN....This is because, they allow people to actually walk up to the drive thru window...this is the ONLY McDonalds that permits this....The only one ! ughhhh ! horrible !
I will for surely be calling the corporate office come monday morning to address this issue and submit a thorough and formal complaint. THIS needs to...
Read moreMcDonaldâs in the U.S. just doesnât live up to the quality and experience found in Russia. While itâs convenient and familiar, the differences in taste, service, and overall experience are hard to ignore.
The food quality is noticeably lacking compared to international locations. In Russia, the burgers are fresher, better assembled, and taste closer to real ingredients. Here in the U.S., the burgers often seem rushedâsloppy with wilted lettuce, lukewarm patties, and buns that sometimes feel stale. The fries, which should be McDonaldâs crown jewel, are inconsistent; sometimes theyâre crispy and golden, but other times theyâre soggy and under-salted.
The service also leaves something to be desired. While McDonaldâs in Russia often has fast, efficient, and friendly staff, the U.S. locations can feel chaotic and impersonal. Long wait times, missing items, and general disorganization take away from the quick, reliable experience you expect.
The restaurant environment is another difference. In Russia, the McDonaldâs locations are clean, modern, and often have comfortable seating and a welcoming atmosphere. In the U.S., cleanliness and maintenance can be hit or miss, with some locations feeling outdated and not as inviting.
On the bright side, McDonaldâs in the U.S. is still affordable and has plenty of variety, including unique items that arenât found elsewhere. But when compared to the experience in Russia, itâs clear that the U.S. version has room for improvement. If youâve experienced McDonaldâs abroad, youâll know whatâs...
