We had an amazing dinner at Piegari’s! My husband heard about this restaurant and wanted to try it based on its great reviews and reputation in Argentina. We went with my sister and friend and had a wonderful evening. The hostess was friendly and efficient. Becca, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable throughout the entire meal. As soon as we were seated, bruschetta and a small welcome cocktail that’s Prosecco based was brought to us. Both were yummy. Here’s a run down on the food between the 4 of us. The mozzarella di buffala is delicious. The giant heirloom tomatoes were impressive and the mozzarella was seriously out of this world. The polpo alla griglia was tender and flavorful. We loved it. They had a salmon carpaccio that night and it was good. It was delicately smoked and sliced, but we were expecting it to be a raw salmon carpaccio (maybe we missed that it was smoked). Then, we had homemade pastas: parpadelle al funghi, tortellini verde alla valdostana, ravioli alla piegari, and a special shrimp gnocchi that they offered that evening. Each of these pastas was fantastic and we had a hard time identifying a favorite because they were all so incredible. For dessert, we had the tiramisu, pistachio gelato, and the chocolate lava cake. Yum yum yum! I wish I could remember the names of the specialty cocktails that we got, but all you need to know is that the drinks at Piegari’s are delicious and perfectly made. I even told the bartender how much we loved them because they were so impressive. At the end of the meal, the GM came by (he had checked in with us and chatted a bit earlier in the meal) and gave us hugs and handshakes goodbye. We told him we felt like family there because all the staff were so welcoming and friendly. All of us absolutely loved Piegari’s and were amazed that it was only their 10th day open. Usually brand new restaurants feel like they need a lot more work, but everything (the staff’s professionalism, ambiance, food, drinks …) was polished and excellent. Plus, the price of the entire meal was reasonable. And no, I am not connected in any way to the restaurant or any of the workers. I just truly enjoyed our meal and time at Piegari’s. Definitely looking forward...
Read moreI wish I could give you zero stars for this restaurant.
The last chef is no longer employed at this restaurant due to the CEO's financial circumstances.
There are many different subjects that I can expose in this chapter that I would like to share with you as well in this restaurant!
First of all, I’m here for the recipe; I can tarnish their reputation for being a nice person to me since I work this job.
The chef with no name is the one I can protect from his reputation as long as he stays in his place
The Italian chef who is hiring me as a full-time dishwasher in May 2025 texted me 14 minutes later, asking if I was ready to start working as a dishwasher immediately, and I responded with 'yes sir, I'm on my way.'The next day I called him to determine if he required my return to work; he stated that he would text me when he was on his break, and he subsequently texted me to inform me that he was hiring someone, indicating that I needed to move forward to find another job. The next day, one of the front area staff members, Jose Cruz, contacted me and requested that I return to work. I was somewhat perplexed, and he asked me to work the morning shift, which was not my preference for the maid service, so I had no choice but to adjust my schedule and consult with the manager to understand why I was receiving low hours and experiencing inconsistencies with my schedule. After the chef is no longer employed in our kitchen and manager Jose is the reason why he gave me a two-day job that caused me undue stress, I informed him that I am done with this unproductive arrangement and will no longer tolerate this misuse of my time. I had a recorded phone conversation with Jose. He was unable to respond to my inquiries as he was inconsistent in his statements. I have found him to be a manipulative individual. Initially, he offered me 40 hours of rest per week, but later revised it to 12 hours, which I believe was an attempt to manipulate my compensation. I am seeking to highlight Jose's business practices. He invited me to return to work, promising additional hours if the restaurant were to close due to financial...
Read moreOur experience tonight was okay . Ive been to a-lot of fine dining restaurants but i felt myself and husband were out of place hence we both work in the industry and are very patient. When we arrived i can say the host was exceptional she made us actual feel welcome. However i went to the restroom upon arrival and my husband was not even greeted. I sat down and we were greeted by a young lady who served us bottle water finally .( Not our server keep in mind . )After a minute we waved someone to let them know we haven't been greeted but we are ready to order . At this point a gentlemen not sure his title finally greeted us and took drink orders only being he stated he can only take that not the food we were okay with that a few minutes later our server came to take our food order and i asked her if the gentlemen took our drink orders and if werre those in . She insured yes so not even after 2 minutes of her leaving he comes back to reconfirm drinks hence her saying it was inn. At this point we were confused. Fast forward we asked the young lady who served our food which wasnt our server for the check ( i seen her go to her personally) she went to every table before us hugged and talked with other tables even gentlmen in suits not sure of yhe titles of them. at this point we felt Out place and were ready to go ) all Workers tended more to other tables than us . Overall the experience wasn't the best being it was out first time. We again are in the industry he works at 11 and i work at restaurant on south beach. So we understand but it was not welcoming at all outside of the hostess shout out to her . We were celebrating a 10 year anniversary so...
