Family came out here to celebrate my moms birthday, the restaurant was told it was a birthday reservation and we’d be celebrating. Here are the worst 3 things we experienced here. 1.Dirty glasses, im talking literal stains and crumbs on them (disgusting). 2. Ladies bathroom toilet was literally flooding so I couldn’t go, when I went up to tell the manager as a courtesy she mockingly said “mhm THANKS” followed by a cruel smile? If it sounds ridiculous to you, trust me, it was. The server standing next to her had to make up for her nastiness and tell me in a pleasant tone“thank you for letting us know, we’ll see to it.” 3. At the end of the dinner I was offered to look at the dessert menu and said “no, thank you” this manager was BOLD enough to go up to the birthday person and tell them personally “I would’ve brought you something to celebrate on the house but you didn’t even want to see the dessert menu so you wont be getting one.” My mom was just genuinely so hurt that this restaurant manager tried to sour her evening by intentionally making things uncomfortable for her. Would love to speak to the owner about manager qualifications at this...
Read moreWhat I truly admire of Riviera is, they march to the beat of their own drum. I'm pleased to say I have not been disappointed. Riviera was actually one of the first restaurants I dined in when I first moved to Miami. Tonight I was lucky enough, to have been welcomed, when in reality they didn't have to being it was last minute. Nonetheless Henry welcomed us in with such positivity. I cannot stress, how this truly turned our rainy night around. The service is nothing short of spectacular. We really felt catered to. Henry recommends great suggestions, from entrées to drinks if needed. Henry has a refreshing attitude and by far knowledgeable. My meal was fresh and delicious, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Yes there are many Italian restaurants to choose from in Miami but their ambiance and their great service sets...
Read moreThis spot could not have been a better place to finish a wonderful Friday night in Miami. I called in advanced, quite late actually, to reserve a table for two and they were able to fit me in. Because I called to say I’d be running a few minutes late (Miami traffic), the owner came to personally thank me for the call when I arrived, and welcomed me and my partner into the space. He was attentive throughout the dinner, explaining the meaning of the dishes, where the ingredients came from, and their connection to him and Italy. Riviera Focacceria Italiana also had unique and delicious dishes. The beet appetizer was to die for, and so was the ravioli ragu. Oh and the pistachio mousse, delicious!!! Simply put, if you want a special, homemade Italian dinner in Midtown Miami, Riviera Focacceria is the...
