Giraldas — Restaurant in Miami

Pretty disappointed at the experience, I’ve been here 3 times and realized that the caipirinhas aren’t actually caipirinhas they are caipiroskas. The food was okay, and for the value increase you’d think the portions would be more actuate. And the worst part, the cashier was a Colombian lady who thought she was slick and she took her tip from the machine without me approving. Again; not the amount but it’s about the intention and approval of me. She gave me the machine quickly because she thought I would not notice. I let her know as well that you don’t do that to a customer. Unfortunately Giraldas is not what it used to be.

Muy decepcionado con el servicio y la calidad de la comida. Yo he venido varías veces es pero me di cuenta que la caipirinha no es, es caipiroska con vodka. Aparte de eso, la calidad de la comida no es tan buena para el precio que ha subido. Para finalizar, la cajera era una colombiana que pensó que no me iba a dar cuenta que se puso una propina ella solita en la máquina cuando pase mi tarjeta. Eso no se hace, no es sobre la cantidad, pero la intención de burlarse de la gente poniendo el monto de la propina del cliente sin que se dé cuenta. Eso no se hace aquí en la Florida. No recomendable por su personal.

Edit: This is the next comment after the establishment replied - the lady that was the cashier gave me the machine AFTER putting the tip as I said above not BEFORE, so again, this tip was not by ME this was put by HER. As I also said, I did address this to her directly and she knew I was correct because she didn’t deny it and said that she would provide me the money back, which I DID NOT need because it’s not about the tip amount as I said; it’s about the action of being sneaky and wrong. Also, there is a large banner outside of the establishment that says caipirinha for $3, so please whoever goes make sure to check the banner, as he is incorrect. And the cashier even admitted when she went to drop our food that real Brazilians recognize that this is not caipirinha since it has vodka and not cachaça. I will not be coming back especially after this managements lazy and absurd response. We definitely will not be taking off our reviews. I’ve been coming here on and off whenever I’m in Midtown, but the place has really deteriorated. The quality is nowhere near what it used to be.

I ordered the picanha steak, and the portion was shockingly small about the size of a credit card.

The plate itself was so tiny it was even difficult to eat from. The fries were lukewarm, and the salad was drowning in balsamic.

To make matters worse, the Coke machine wasn’t working and only poured water. When I asked if they had Coke, the staff just shrugged and said no, as if it didn’t matter.

When I paid for this little portion, the guy who took my order actually asked me straight out, “and the tip is… this is for me,” which I found extremely rude. A tip should be earned, not demanded, further the server should get it.

Overall, it was a really bad experience. I left hungry, disappointed, and shocked at how far this place has fallen.

The owner should take this feedback seriously and make major changes because long term, they won’t survive with this level of food and service, especially considering how many better options exist...

Well let me start that my wife and I are regulars here. We USED to like this place. My wife is from Brazil and loves it as do I. But today as my wife placed an order for pick up, I arrived and when the cashier asked the chef with glasses for Penelope’s order, the chef was making fun of the name of the customer. My wife. They spoke in Portuguese but didn’t think that I myself am fluent as well.. the chef said she should change her name. I was upset and said that I didn’t appreciate it and that I myself speak Portuguese as well. They immediately took a step back and tried to explain that he wasn’t but I understood every word . This was our LAST time ordering from this place. Such disrespect. In what world do we live in where someone has to make fun of another persons name. Who gives them that authority aside from god himself. Regardless to say. We won’t be coming back anymore for the food and will be going else where.1/17/2023. Order number Uber eats...
