Unfortunately, I really wanted to like this place. I read a lot of good reviews and I wanted to try a different taco place to where I usually go. I’m originally from Boston, Massachusetts and I was visiting Miami to just get away and take a break from life. I went to your establishment because of the reviews, but can I be honest it was the worst. First off when I ordered my food it was off of a machine not a person. I find that to be so robotic, you’re losing the connection with the customer doing it this way. Second I made sure to put a note stating no tomatoes no salsa allergy and what did they do two of my tacos had tomatoes in it and salsa. They sent it back, came back with the tacos, not having all the ingredients that was stated in the actual recipe of the ingredient on the menu after that I just got really upset cause I was starving and all I was running with is breakfast in my stomach because I had a long photo shoot and didn’t have time to eat. Overall, I definitely am never going back here when I go back to Miami. and quite frankly, there was no way to file a complaint or to request a refund. They gave me the excuse that they had a new cook in the back and it’s still learning to follow directions. Sounds like a personal problem to me not mine. I’m sure they have recipe cards back there that tells them exactly what everything needs to have when a customer orders. I personally would like a refund because I paid a lot of money, but the service was dreadful and they looked at me like I was being annoying, but in reality if a customer a pain, customer is asking you to kindly not to put something do analogy. You should follow it that is part of customer service. I hope someone can help me to get this rectified. This is not how people should get treated if we’re coming to pay for food, especially food that was insanely expensive with lacking of ingredients that goes with the actual food....
Read moreHappened to be in Miami and decided to see what Talkin Taco had to offer. When you walk in, the decor is cute and you are greeted by two unmanned kiosks to place your order. We had questions on some of the entrees but a person came from the kitchen and was able to help us. Ordering was simple enough and I chose the 3 combo tacos: carne asada (based on the picture I was hoping for an awesome Mexican street taco), the Caribbean and the Bang Bang shrimp. My daughter ordered the Birria tacos. No sides came with it and we thought they were a little overpriced so we just stuck with the tacos. I tried the carne asada taco first, took one bite and put it down. The steak was not tender and it tasted like it might not have been the best quality cuts. They were lean, which I prefer, but did not taste or smell good. Not what I hoped for. The Caribbean taco and bang bang shrimp had a lot of toppings and had flavor but didn't knock my socks off. The Birria tacos, however, were the most flavorful and the best! I'm giving 3 stars for my dish but I would try it again and only get the birria. There is a parking garage right next door but it was confusing to figure out where pedestrians should exit and enter. Paid $6 so not terrible for Miami. I would say check them out if you're looking for more of a quick, no frills in/out spot but stick...
Read moreThe food at Talking Tacos Brickell is always great — no complaints there. Unfortunately, the customer service on this visit was awful and completely ruined the experience.
My order took much longer than usual, and when my food was finally brought out, I mentioned that I was also missing a drink. The staff member told me it was already in the bag, so I trusted her and left. Once I got to the parking garage, I saw I had three missed calls from the restaurant — they had given me the wrong bag, which didn’t have my drink and contained someone else’s food.
When I went back, no one took accountability. Each employee blamed someone else, saying it wasn’t their job to check the order. I asked to speak with a manager, but was told the manager doesn’t speak English. I asked for a refund or even a gift card, but was told neither was possible. Instead, someone oddly offered to Zelle me money, which felt very unprofessional for a business.
The whole situation was handled poorly from start to finish. It’s a shame because the food is great, but after this experience, I won’t be returning to...
