First off let me just say I LOVE THIS PLACE!! However today I had my 3rd BAD experience. I have been coming here 20 plus years, I’ve been friendly and nice to everyone here and everyone knows me well!! I walk in they already know my order!! But on Sundays it’s been the opposite experience!!
TODAY, I came in and got TREATED LIKE I WAS NO BODY!! We had a simple miss understanding, that ANYONE of the staff would have fixed!! ESPECIALLY for me, someone who EATS HERE EVERY DAY!! I’m an everyday regular and I have NEVER HAD A ISSUE IN AGAIN 20 plus years!!
But Shannon has ruined the good vibes this place has. Instead of just fixing my order, being friendly and having good customer service, she wanted to argue with me. Antagonize me, and then let me know that there was nothing she could do!! I ordered garbage hash with NO HAM. I got cheese, potatoes, more onions than I’ve ever had in 20 years of ordering the same thing. Completely her mistake, but she would not fix her own mistake!! MADE IT TO BE MY FAULT!! If this is the service, we can expect in the community that is sad!! I now know to drive by and if I see her I won’t be coming back!! Julie, Virginia, Leeann, I’m forgetting the other awesome red hair who works here, Amanda I think and the amazing green eyed server. but Shannon treated me like I wasn’t even worth talking to!! Very sad. I’m a regular and never thought I would EVER have to post a bad review but I am warning the community that on sundays it’s not even worth coming in until after 5 or earlier when maybe other servers are here. I’ve never had a bad vibe here in 20 years. But my last couple SUNDAYS. TERRIBLE!! I’m an old school regular who was good friends with shawna, and the most amazing soul to ever serve at Belgium that passed away. Also one of the ones who still owns the jackets and hoodies that used to be sold here!! Never have I had a bad experience here, I just hope that they correct the problem because if I was treated that way and everyone knows me, how do you think people that come in who are new feel? Because if that was my first experience!! I would never return. I truly love this place it’s my comfort zone but I felt so uncomfortable the place wasn’t busy I was the only person in the restaurant. Something so simple could have been avoided. Beware I am not the only one, I’m just not a person to stay silent. KEEP THIS PLACE good!! As much as midvale is changing something needs to stay a comfortable place. I’ve had my best and hardest times here. I’ve smiled and cried here. This place is home to me. To anyone reading this don’t let my comment discourage you from coming!! This place is amazing 99.9 percent of the time. Shannon is just that 00.1 percent that isn’t. This is my 3rd bad experience with her. Only reason for the negative comment. Everything to happen today could have been avoided, had she not needed to power trip and use her EGO. I felt more disrespected when she sarcastically told me to have a good day on my way out. Like she needed to appear that she gave me friendly service!! I can over look one mistake people have bad days but this is the 3rd Sunday in a row I have been treated this way. And it’s always by her!! I could have blown up about the situation but it’s not worth it. Just placing this here for the right people to see it and correct the problem. May love and light always be within the walls...

This delightful establishment was known for its mouthwatering dishes and warm, inviting atmosphere. But what truly made the Waffle and Omelet Inn shine was the remarkable woman named Kelly.
Kelly, with her radiant smile and infectious laughter, greeted every customer as if they were long-lost friends. From the moment I stepped foot inside the Inn, I was captivated by her genuine warmth and kindness. She had a way of making everyone feel like they were part of her extended family.
One particular morning, as I shuffled into the Inn, still half-asleep, Kelly called out my name at the astonishingly early hour of 5 o'clock. Despite the early hour, she was vibrant and full of energy. Her cheerful voice was like a ray of sunshine, instantly brightening my day.
Kelly's thoughtfulness extended beyond mere greetings. She seemed to have an uncanny ability to anticipate my needs. Whether it was an extra dollop of whipped cream on my waffle or a steaming hot cup of coffee, she always seemed to know exactly what I desired, even before I did.
But it wasn't just her attentiveness that set Kelly apart. It was her genuine interest in my well-being. Over the course of many breakfasts, we would engage in heartfelt conversations about our lives, dreams, and aspirations. Kelly became not only a server but also a confidante, someone I could rely on for guidance and support.
Her infectious enthusiasm was contagious, and it spread throughout the entire Inn. It wasn't just Kelly who made me feel like family; it was the entire staff. It was evident that she had fostered a culture of warmth and inclusivity, where every customer was embraced and cherished.
As I reflect upon my experiences at the Waffle and Omelet Inn, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for Kelly. She taught me the true meaning of hospitality and reminded me of the power of human connection. Her ability to make even the simplest breakfast a memorable experience is a testament to her extraordinary personality.
So here's to Kelly, the heart and soul of the Waffle and Omelet Inn. Thank you for treating me like family, for brightening my mornings, and for reminding me of the importance of kindness and genuine care. You have left an indelible mark on my heart, and for that, I am...
Read moreI was picking up food to deliver to someone else. When I got there a lady who I assume is supposed to work the register was standing around making small chat with another customer at the table. I was browsing on my phone and looking at the fish tank waiting for her to acknowledge me. After several minutes she finally came over and asked what I wanted. I told her I was here to pick up an order. She went back to the kitchen. A few minutes later I heard her bring out two bags and put them on a further table away from the cash register table. She didn't say anything so I didn't think they were for me. She is standing around again. After several more minutes she finally says the order is done and points to the bags. At this moment a couple comes in through the door waiting to be seated. I walk over to the bags but they aren't labeled. I asked which bag of food is mine or are they both mine. She snarked. Got an attitude with me and said I should know the order. I told her I did know the order but I don't know what's in each bag. They were unlabeled and I wasn't one who packaged up the food. How could I know? I showed her the order and she pointed at which bag was mine. I picked up the food, walked away and told he she has to be nice. She said, "Huhhhhhh??". I turned back and said "you have to be nice, lady". She said "I was nice!". I said no she wasn't and walked out. As soon as I walked out the couple walked out too and the husband shouted over the parking lot to me, "I wouldn't eat there either if I was treated like that". Him and I both laughed and he said she didn't seem very nice. After I dropped off the food, I called the place to speak to the manager. A lady answered and she said there was no manager and told me she doesn't know when the manger will be in and hung up. I'm guessing that was the lady I had an issue with. I tried to message Belgian waffle through facebook and thought it would go somewhere. I got no apology and whoever I was messaging didn't even say they were going to look into it. I got ignored. I thought this lady had a bad day but looking on google reviews this place is horrible. Bad reviews on the food, place looking outdated and even some had issues with the staff. I have never eaten at this place before...
