Gave two starts for the food only. I was so excited to see a closer Costa Vida to my house. Since our household and our neighbors household were working from home we decided to treat ourselves. Boy did we regret going to this new location once we hit the drive thru. The girl working the was very rude and unprofessional from the start and it continued to get worse as our order went on. With every request like hold the tortilla strips or can we get an extra manga salsa, she had a snarky response and would barely let us continue to order. At the end we requested on additional entree to be gluten free and she quickly fired back saying for future reference you need to put those requests in firstNOT last, we will do it for you this time. Like we knew this was a rule and then to follow it up like she was doing us the favor. I mean we paid well over $50.00 bucks for our food and to be given such lackluster customer service was NOT worth saving the time to go to a different location. We will...
Read moreI showed up last night to eat dinner at 9:15(they close as 10) everything had already been put away and they had to pull it back out to make my meal. All the drinks had been cleaned up for the night. While making my food I was the only one in line and due to a fair amount of talking and having to get the food back out it took like 5-7 minutes to make a salad and a quesadilla. The cherry on top was we went to eat outside on their tables. After finishing at 9:45 and going to throw my plate away, I couldn't. They had locked the doors and there was no trash outside. Luckily I found their dumpsters and was able to dispose of it but I mean c'mon. Maybe just check for customers before locking the doors. I have no problem with you closing at 9 but I'd your going to advertise you're open until 10 maybe don't start cleaning until like 945. With how far they were with cleaning they had to have started at like 845-9. All of that being said the food was good. No...
Read moreRecently I heard a debate on Costa Vida vs Cafe Rio. Each person insisted one was better than the other. I came to Costa Vida to see for myself.
The truth is they maybe more alike than different and as I understand it the two chains shared common founders.
That being said the sweet pork salad with cilantro lime dressing is the standard. We had one of those and one shredded beef. I appreciated the change. Both were delicious.
The staff was very helpful, several of them stopped to make sure everything was fine. It was.
The most difficult thing about this location is the load vent system right behind where you order. It makes communication very difficult, not to mention it is annoying. I suspect it costs them business. If I lived in the area I would use the drive thru and/or order online.
P.S. Check the back of the register tape at the Smiths up the street for...
