Sheng Kee Bakery #6 - Milpitas — Restaurant in Milpitas

Had a sad experience from its service at 02/02/2021 3:00pm.

That time I picked some breads, passed my tray to the cashier lady. She put each bread in a small package. But she was leaving all package open without closing them. So I was closing them.

She somehow became extremely irritable and shouting at me: (very rude, not in the polite tone at all) "GO AWAY, don't pack here at counter. Go to other place to pack."

I said: “other bakery stores like 85C even close up the packages for customers. Now I'm packing them myself and you even ask me to go away and do it?"

she shout: "whatever others. We don't close the package, we only put them in, we have health policy."

If store manager you can see my review. please comment if you DO have the policy (1) you refuse to use your hands to close up the package after you already use your HANDS to grab the package and put it in. (2) you don't allow customer to close packages themselves at counter. Thank you, and...

This was my first visit to Chinese style bakery and it was very interesting to see all the offerings. I have been to many Korean bakeries before, and while there were some similarities, I stumble across many new baked goods as well. Got the moon cake which I have never had before, but I have seen it across social media, and it was so good. I was sad that I did not get more. Also got the egg custard which I have had before multiple times, and this one was honestly below average. Custard was too eggy, and the pastry was not flaky enough. i never had service like this before, the lady at the desk, did not make eye contact with us, and ignored us. when I asked her if there was more bread, she said 'no more' raising her voice at us. when we asked for a bag, she just pretended like we didn't even exist. I don't understand why you would hire somebody like her, and that is out of all the shops in the plaza, i never had an experience like this. thanks for reminding me why I don't come here that often. the bread doesn't even compare to other places, might be cheaper, but would rather purchase somewhere else for better taste. even had to talk to another worker for her horrible behavior, she didn't apologize but he had to...
