I've been coming here for a while... I should have written this review much earlier...oh well, here it is now.
This was my favorite place to come get Bingsoo before Sulbing in Santa Clara opened. While the Bingsoo is still Brilliant the main deterrent is the tiny venue with not a lot of seating. On a hot summer day it's fairly arduous to get a seat. The biggest challenge is coming in big groups. Good luck if you have more than 4 people, especially when its busy. There is plenty of parking available in the plaza, not a whole lot going on there...
The Bingsoo here is basically perfect. Ice Cold, so soft and supple...like snow. It's brilliant! Not too sweet, you are provided with condensed milk on the side, so you can add as much as you want or not. The Mochi is perfect, chewy and slightly sweet without being too tough, just the way it should be. I tried most of the flavors, but my go to are the Mango & Matcha...

Read moreIt's a small boba joint. Really cute outside, especially at night with the lights are lit. Inside is really small though; there are seatings outside if you prefer.
Service was fast and basic (nothing wrong, just all that needed). In terms of quality to price, this is probably one of the best around. A bunch of teas and milk teas start at just $3-$3.5 with pretty good quality teas.
The pearls are lightly sweetened which is delicious. Sometimes they are slightly small (I dislike small pearls), but they expand after sitting for 8-10 mins.
The drinks I've tried were not very sweet (except the Hawaii fruit tea). So if you are used to getting 25%-30% at other places like I do, you may want to stick around 50%-80% sweetness. My 30% was barely sweet. (The pearls helped though.)
I prefer their teas over their milkteas; the latter taste like they use powder milk instead of fresh milk.
Overall I like their tea drinks with pearls and will definitely continue...
Read moreMy friends and I were at Great Mall and we decided to stop by a dessert place and came across MandRo Teahouse!
We weren't in the mood for any drinks but we got bingsoo. We weren't sure which to choose and luckily, there 2 seasonal bingsoo (strawberry and mango) were available.
We chose the regular strawberry bingsoo in the end. With the strawberries came with condensed milk which you pour over the shaved ice. We all took a bite and the ice literally melts in your mouth. It was so smooth, mouth watering and delicious to the point I couldn't stop taking more bites! It wasn't too sweet. Inexpensive! And it was perfect to share with 2 other friends! What can get any better?
I highly recommend their yummy strawberry bingsoo. You won't...
