I'm impressed this place isn't rated higher. Consider this a 4.5 rating rounded up. I arrived with the bf on a Sunday evening at 8:15 and we were the first table. Not a good sign, usually, but we reserved judgement for the food. We ordered the 38 (combo rice plate with shrimp, grilled pork and egg roll) and the garlic noodles with NY steak; along with a Thai iced tea (they were out of pearls, so no boba this time) and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The coffee was amazing, tastes like chocolate. The Thai iced tea? Meh, not worth as it also tasted metallic. Once our food arrived (within about 10 minutes) we were impressed! The steak was cooked mostly well done but was still very juicy, flavorful and tender. The garlic noodles is made with spaghetti noodles but had great flavor. The grilled pork was amazing! A little sweeter but I prefer it that way, the prawns tastes fresh and the egg roll was crunchy and delicious. The steak with garlic noodles came with A1 sauce on the side but you really don't need it. The #38 has the standard sweet fish sauce to dip and the pickled veggies were perfect. The service is pretty standard for Vietnamese so any lack thereof isn't counted against them. The total for us was 50.25, so we left $60 and agreed we would return if ever in the area. By the time we left two more tables had joined us. The pho bowls look huge so we will have to return to try them.

I worked at a trade show in San Jose, but I ended up at a hotel in Milpitas. I walked about five hundred feet from the hotel to this restaurant, which I found on Yelp. I ordered the pork potstickers as an appetizer; they were terrible, dry and tasteless. I guess I should have ordered the spring rolls. My entree, on the other hand, was sensational. It was the special seafood soup with the wide rice noodles, which had fish balls, squid, shrimp and shrimp toast and the fresh vegetables I added after the soup arrived. The broth was rich and very tasty. Service was only ok, partially because it was late.

My daughter loved the Nui shaken beef (but the way they made to us tasted like Mongolian beef), no matter my daughter still in loves with her order. The rest of our orders was just okay - my mom ordered broken rice but the plate they made wasn't a broken rice, that's just a rice that's we're always cooking at home;( my fiancé and I ordered spicy noodles but the tastes they made was a beef stew that's made us surprised allot with those. Anyway, one thing we liked about was it's very closed to the hotel we're staying.

This place is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The food is so fresh and so very tasty . Each dish has it's own unique flavor. You can tell this restaurant takes pride in what they make and what they serve their customers. We met Don the owner and he made us feel so welcomed. His staff is very customer service orientated. You get fast service and everyone is very nice. We ordered Vietnamese coffee, hot tea, #32,#85, cold noodle dish that Don recommended(it was delicious), beef pho noodles, egg rolls, mango pudding and dessert Halo. I never had a Halo before and this was so good that i ordered another one. Halo has lichee and some other Asian fruit in it OMG was it good.i highly recommend this place for the reasonable price and for the freshness of the food. This place takes pride in what they serve to their customers. Their soup is cooked for 12 hrs and it is rich in body and so...

New Pho Saigon 2.0 - total let down. I enjoyed the 1.0 (I was told the previous owner moved to Mt. View). Ordered seafood pho, spring rolls and beef pho. The noodles were mushy and broke into tiny pieces (sign of old, improperly cooked and/or pre-packaged) - definitely not fresh. The soup was bland and tasteless. The spring rolls were made elsewhere. a plastic wrap was sticking out of the roll. The server said she would bring new ones but she brought the same ones back with the plastic removed. I had a feeling she would do that so I carefully checked them before sending them back. Definitely do not...
