I wanted to leave this review because I feel Rooted vine has so so so much potential and is the kind of place I’m always looking for! A nice wine bar with dim lights, good music, and a list of tapas. I think that they have all the right ingredients for a killer spot- the only place they stray from the ideal ( my personal opinion) wine bar, is the small bites. Everyone wants a little snack- especially when they’re enjoying a glass with their friends or lover! I think their list of small bites is a wonderful start but if there were more options at a lower price, opposed to fewer items at a higher price- they’d get more people in the door! I understand that their bread and butter IS WINE- it’s a wine bar after all, but I’d love to see more tapas. And I do think it’s dyer to drooooop those food prices doooooown!!!!!!! ( $35 for four bite sized crustini bites is actually pretty bizarre but because I was dying to find a tapa and wine bar while we were in town I sucked it up and paid the price…) Give me a bowl of mixed nuts or marinated olives! Let me try some whipped cheese on a thick cut of toast! This kind of restaurant/bar is what the Moab area is lacking, so I think with the right “add ons” to the already wonderful experience ( good wine, good service, good vibes ) they are bound to succeed. I loved the place! ( did not...
Read moreA hidden gem in Moab! My wife and I live in Utah and have been going to Moab for over 7 years. We were interested in seeing this place pop up, so we decided to grab a bite after dinner.
It was outstanding! We both agreed it was like we were visiting a restaurant in Europe. The ambiance was outstanding, we never felt rushed, and the selection was great for Utah. Down to even how the napkins were folded, we felt spoiled when we entered.
Service was so polite. Each glass of wine came with a card detailing the type of the wine and notes. Our biggest regret was not making this the star of our evening.
We will definitely be going back, and suggest this to friends and family in the future.
Our only suggestion is that the restaurant carry a wider variety of dessert wines, but that could be a personal bias since this place is an amazing oasis to stay at after experiencing an...
Read moreHad a wonderful, relaxing experience here with such friendly staff! Wine list is great - the ‘by the glass’ options aren’t expansive but the bottle list is so approachable in price it’s well worth it. Quite a lot to choose from - some more adventurous wines to more standard wines and producers. We showed up at 5:30, sat at the bar and casually ordered a few things throughout the evening along with a bottle, and as quiet as the restaurant was in the beginning, it picked up quite a bit after 7:30-8pm. Talked with the staff/owners for awhile when things were slow, and they were such friendly, lovely people! Food was limited but thoughtful for a smaller spot without a full kitchen - everything we had tasted great and had little ‘extras’ like bruschetta included (which was some of the freshest, best bruschetta I’ve had in awhile). Overall, I’d recommend and...
