We went there on Friday around 1:30pm. Had to park far away, because all parking spaces close to the building, including 6 handicap, were occupied, even though the place was virtually empty, except for employees. The decor and tables were completely bare, not very inviting. The floor to ceiling windows did allow for a view of the Austal building across the river, and some water traffic. There is a nice outdoor dining deck with very small tables. The lady behind the counter saw us come in, and immediately ducked into the kitchen as we approached the counter. After waiting for a few minutes, and stepping around to the kitchen door and calling hello, she came back out and took our order. She was pleasant enough, telling us she would bring it out to us. Even though we were the only customers, it took a little long to get it- shrimp po'boy with fries, and a shrimp teriyaki bowl. We didn't order dessert, because we didn't feel like cookies, and there was no fresh fruit (or cake, or pie, or tart) in sight, just this awful looking croissant thing with peanut butter. The po'boy bread was not authentic but ok, fries good, the shrimp battered and fried brick hard, devoid of any seasoning. We might have added condiments or salt and pepper, if there had been any. The bowl was large, and filled with absolutely tasteless gelatinous rice, topped with dinky shrimp and veg that had been cooked to unrecognizable mush. There may have been a wisp of teriyaki color and flavor detectable on the shrimp, but I became disinterested in trying to eat it after a few bites. With a bottled coke, and a short, watery glass of tea, we got out of there for $46 with tip. Seriously, this was not the healthy eats/sandwich cafe we were expecting. They'd be much better off offering a good juicy burger for working people in the area, or just put a bunch of nice vending choices next to the coke case, for people who need to pop in for a snack, and...

On a whim I tried his chicken tender, and it was absolutely delicious and I don’t even eat chicken tenders. My rice bowl was piping hot, the flavors were amazing, and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. Having a view of the water was the icing on the cake. Oh, let me not forget to mention how wonderful the poundcake was as well as the tropical lemonade! I...
