It's the Garage! A Mobile bat scene mainstay. A Hayle's for the opposite end of the downtown bar network. It was actually a garage before being converted so 20-ish years ago...but they have a great dive bar, super chill, hometown vibe. I absolutely love the ring game...ask if havent played. The have 2 pool tables, wifi jukebox and u can usually get in a poker game (no gambling is tolerated) or 2 if the right folks are present. They have live bands frequently and they range from older folks to new ones just starting out, and I must say for cover bands-bands they have some good ones. Occasionally an original songwriter/performer will play, usually local like Eric Erdman, will play, these are usually the only time they charge cover btw. Dont expect fancy drinks or mixology here its a shot and a beer kinda place or old standards like jack and coke. Friendly service by the door staff and bartenders. A word of caution, if you dont like cigarette smoke it can get very smokey in here, so beware, it was not an issue for me but I kbow it can be for others.
