This was a fun, educational place to bring the kids. Admission was free, and there is so much to take in while visiting. The city's fire department has a very rich, colorful history, and there are artifacts from practically every decade, starting back when they lined up to do a bucket brigade! It's a two story museum, and there's actual firefighter gear to try on upstairs (my kids thought it was awesome!). Read moreOne of the most underrated museums in Mobile. The engines are beautiful, and the whole upstairs is very informative and even has posters about fires that have affected Mobile. They also have a 911 memorial in the corner upstairs. Very beautiful place with so much history. This is a must see museum. Free to go and great for kids, just make sure they don't touch anything.
