Hayley's Bar — Restaurant in Mobile

I usually go here for alcohol downtown. Usually mix drinks taste watered down other than this place. The only issue is it is small and cramped and usually on busy nights it's hard to order drinks they need a walk up area without seats to order drinks bc I have issues ordering a lot and get aggravated by this. Other then that they have one pool table. I enjoy it better with the windows open bc it is rather drag n gloomy at times due to all the dark colors and lighting. I enjoy the music they have normally and usually walk right back out if the music is off. But if your mission is to drink its the best place I been to downtown for mixed drinks. I am very picky on my drinks. I have had one drink I didn't like but my girlfriend liked it so it was just me. I normally order a double peach ring bomb which cost $11 and does not seem like much but that little cup has a kick and gets me to a buzz level to move on the the next bar and sets my mood right. I wouldn't suggest downing it like me bc it has a sour kick but...

There are multiple things wrong with this bar.. to start off, I came where with my friend who was visiting from out of state, this was our last stop of the night and we were just there for a couple beers. My friend and I had stepped outside to talk for a bit after ordering our drinks (which we left inside with our purses and wallets) when we came back the bouncer at the door had our purses and we were told to leave, the bartender then took my friends beer and poured it out and handed her back an empty bottle And claimed “she was falling asleep” even though she was Very much awake and was having a conversation with another person at the bar. Absolutely appalling experience here, bartender is very rude and unprofessional. Go to one of the many other bars on Dauphine St, instead...

Don't go here, because it's great and I don't want any of you to be in my spot when I come in.

On a serious note, it's always full of interesting, but friendly characters. The bar tenders are attentive, and unless there is some special event going on, it's a great place to grab a drink after a shift and hang out. During special events it might be full of tourists and too crowded/loud for anything casual. However, you can still get served quickly by the bar tenders.

Not too loud, but full of opportunities for 'people watching'. As far as I can tell, it's the local bar that the other local bar/food industry people go to. When they get off and come in late, it's a new wave of even friendlier, and even more...
