A must go to place if you are in the area! Since this is a popular locale, I recommend going once they open up at 9 a.m. as they are quite busy with a steady flow of customers for a good reason! This corner beignet shop has great bay windows in the store front where you can see anxious customers waiting to receive their freshly made desserts; limited outside seating. The moderately priced beignets come in servings of 3 / $4.99 or 12 / $14.99, 3 flavored syrups, (buttercream, cinnamon, and whatever is seasonal) plus coffee and milk. I would love to try 🍋! The beignets are made fresh- waiting may be long so, be patient. I ordered 3 with buttercream and waited about 10 minutes. Oh man - I wasn't disappointed!! This fried dough fluffed up to be light and airy. Not like a croissant but with a light crisp outside and warm fluff inside. What an amazing taste! As this was my 1st time eating these I definitely recommend to sit and eat. 1) They were warm which I believe added to their goodness and 2) all the powdered sugar can become quite a yummy mess! The staff was friendly and the dining area was clean. 2 unisex bathrooms were available and mostly clean. Better than Cafe Du Monde, better than any place from New Orleans to Mobile. Wife and I went on a beignet taste testing spree and out of 5 highly rated and suggested locations, this place was the best hands down.

However, upon reading how immature the owner is when responding to criticism they've received by other reviews, we will not be visiting this establishment again.

Update. Thank you for the reply. It's a fine line to skate as a business owner and it's impossible to please everyone. All you can do is keep making those amazing beignets.

My 2 cents. For the trolls, just must ignore them or they multiply. If you feel you have to respond, avoid putting any personal feelings or thoughts in it.

Terrible & slow service, good beignets but not worth the wait. UPDATED TO 3 STARS DUE TO MANAGEMENT RESPONSE. WILL INCREASE REVIEW IF MY NEXT EXPERIENCE IS AS GOOD AS MY 1ST. Have been here twice. Once in off peak times in the middle of the week and had great service got beignets in just a few minutes. Went on a Saturday night my husband and I ordered then some friends we were with ordered and was told there was a 30 minute wait. We had already paid without knowing this so they went ahead and ordered. Our order came out after about 40 minutes. Our friends that ordered right after we did didn't get theirs untill about 50 minutes and others that came in after us got their orders before them. Also their cold brew coffee took about 30 minutes to come out after having to remind them multiple times about it. They didn't tell us they were out of cold brew or what ever was taking so long they just took our money and made us wait. This was the worse orchestrated hot mess I've seen in a long time. I'm thinking there wasn't any management or adults working and the kids working just couldn't keep up. The management really needs to step up...
