After waiting nearly 20 minutes with no acknowledgment, one gentleman named Luis walked into work and then he graciously seated us. Although the two people that were in front of me were waitied on, I was still sitting and waiting with not even an acknowledgment by the manager who was previously standing at the register checking folks out and packaging to-go orders and now began to bus tables and greet others at the door once they walked in. After five minutes,I got up to walk over to the manager. While the manager was somewhat apologetic, he made it appear as if was understandable because they were short of staff and he had to do the to go orders so that it was OK to be slow. Unfortunately without even a simple acknowledgment or apology to your customers, it’s not Okay. He did take my order and brought it to me, which saved me the guilt of having to leave a tip. He also checked in, which some of his employees should have done. So just when I was relatively content and ready to leave, something disheartening happened, which prompted this review.
When I asked if I could pay for my check now he said I would have to go to the register for a code. Now most managers would’ve just taken my receipt and card and have me follow them to the cash register after my experience; not this one. So of course I had to wait an additional five minutes while he rang up the people who came after me so sad at the counter and then as I was standing up ran over to pay for their food. Unless you have all day to spare, I would avoid going to this...
Read moreWe stopped in for breakfast after an overnight in Monterey, while passing through. There was nothing special about this Denny's to look at, and if anything, it seemed older and not as nice as a lot of them. We were told to seat anywhere, which we chose a window booth. Our server quickly brought us coffee and took our order. She was very nice as well as very professional. Our food came out and it was better than average when it came to chain breakfasts and even most Denny's themselves. I even mentioned to our server how much I actually enjoyed my breakfast. I have not had breakfast that good in a while. I asked her her name and told her what a great job she did serving us. She told us her name was Alejandria. She then told us that she was the assistant manager and was just helping out because they are short handed. Either way, we feel that Denny's is lucky to have such a person representing their establishment. And since the breakfast itself was excellent, the whole team seems to be doing it right. Breakfast wasn't inexpensive as it seems nothing is lately. But this was one of the few times lately that I felt the meal was worth the price we paid. I will say great job to this Denny's. We may never be back again. But this one visit left a very good...

My daughter and I recently visited Denny's and had a delightful experience that I wanted to share. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately, as the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. This quick seating was a great start to our visit.
Our server was prompt and friendly, making us feel welcome right from the beginning. It's always nice to be greeted with a smile, especially when dining out with a little one. For my meal, I ordered the salmon salad, while my daughter chose the "Build Your Own Grand Slam," which she was excited to customize.
The salmon salad was quite good, and I appreciated the fact that the salmon was cooked perfectly—flaky and flavorful. The fresh ingredients complemented the fish well, making for a satisfying meal. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her Grand Slam, relishing the opportunity to pick her favorite items. It’s a fun option for kids, and it kept her engaged throughout our meal.
Overall, we had a lovely experience at Denny's. The combination of prompt service, a pleasant atmosphere, and tasty food made for a nice outing. I would definitely recommend this location, especially for families looking for a casual and enjoyable dining experience. We'll be...
