Chicken G's — Restaurant in Mountain View

Take out ordered on yelp. Ready in 10 minutes Not. Got there and didnt have my order however they acknowledge asked me what I ordered so it would take about 10 minutes took 20. That’s OK. Got home. It was the wrong order however I was so hungry. I didn’t care. Instead of the Gmeal I got the Big G sandwich which was good but could have been a 10 if they had make some changes. here’s the two things were they failed on the sandwich. 1) too much mayonnaise . 2) the bun was inferior quality cheap and fragmented. but the chicken Wow! It was outstanding: crispy crunchy a little bit spicy and moist. I took the chicken out of the sandwich and ate it… threw the bun swimming in mayo to the side. The portions are huge seriously I think two people with reasonable appetites could share one order with 2 sides There’s a ton of fries and a ton of coleslaw, I would say enough for three people unless you’re super hungry. Then just two.

Summary: the chicken, they got that right excellent! The sandwich was not constructed correctly in my opinion. Too much mayo It’s ridiculous. The coleslaw very very tasty however, way way too much mayonnaise. The french fries pretty much standard seasoned fries nothing to write home about. They get soggy by the time you get home for takeout, if you’ll need to throw them in your toaster oven. They are boxed and trap moisture . Probably would be a better experience if you eat in the restaurant, but there aren’t that many tables but you could eat outside. There’s a few outside. I will definitely return but make a few changes. I will order the Gmeal or tenders forget the sandwich , no sides. I’ll take the chicken use my own potato bun and construct my sandwich with less mayo and no cheese when I get home. Next no online pick up orders I definitely will CALL to order or order at the restaurant . If you’re going to pick up your order, I would suggest not to use online ordering platforms, including YELP unfortunately. I did see a DoorDash worker come in so maybe delivery is okay. Oh and make sure to check your order before you walk out the door read some of the other reviews. Cheers. Good job with the chicken. I’m impressed the sandwich not so much. But...

I am not putting it lightly when I say I LOVEEEE it here! Their sandwiches are BIG! AND DELICIOUS!!! They seriously give you a whole chicken breast on your sandwich! I couldn't be more impressed by the portion based on the price ratio! I come here all the time. Can't get enough of it!

Sometimes service is a little bit slow but it's well worth the wait. If you phone in the order it goes a lot faster and it's actually really fast then.

I'm sad I won't be in Mountain View for a while to be able to eat here because it's so good! Definitely one of my favorite sandwich spots that I found in the whole Bay Area! Trust me you will not be disappointed with this place! The batter on the chicken is also just right. Definitely hits the spot when you get a hankering for fried chicken!

In my opinion, the best sandwich on the menu is the "naughty chick." I haven't tried the "bad boy" yet because it looked a little bit too spicy for me, but I'm definitely going to try it if I ever get a chance to go back! Best sides to go with are the mac and cheese or the coleslaw. I believe they just use frozen fries. They don't make them there. The fries are not my favorite, but I don't judge a sandwich place based on their fries anyway. I really enjoy the coleslaw and the mac and cheese though!!!!

I am a fried chicken freak. I must try it wherever I go. I was in Mtn View on Friday, and I had to stop. I only like bone in chicken, and they do sell that-- although it was difficult to communicate this to the person at the counter. So, I didn't want any side dishes, I just wanted 2 pieces of fried chicken. This took a while to get this across, but I was finally able to order a 2 piece order of chicken for $9.49 (ouch). I waited about 15 minutes and the chicken came out super hot and fresh. The breading and spices are amazing. It has a unique flavor, but not in a bad way.

Well, I was so excited that I wanted to share this chicken with my Wife, so the next day I returned with my Wife and I attempted to order 8 pieces of chicken without the sides and this counter person either did not understand English or was just a jerk? He just kept pointing at the menu and would not listen to me. I explained to him that I bought chicken without sides the day before. There were two other employees there that could have assisted, but they just stood there staring at me. I finally gave up and ordered the combo dinner. It was $44!! The chicken is great but most of the staff are clueless. I spoke to my daughter about it and she said that the staff were really rude to she and her girlfriends when they visited there.
