I am a self-professed chicken tender connoisseur, and I have to say that Slim Chickens is one of the best I've ever had. The chicken is perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a juicy interior. The breading is flavorful and not too thick, and the tenders are always served hot and fresh.

I've tried a variety of different tenders at Slim Chickens, and they've all been delicious. My personal favorites are the Classic Tenders and the Honey BBQ Tenders. The Classic Tenders are simply seasoned with salt and pepper, but they're so flavorful that they don't need anything else. The Honey BBQ Tenders are coated in a sweet and sticky honey BBQ sauce that is to die for.

In addition to the delicious chicken tenders, Slim Chickens also offers a variety of other affordable and delicious menu items. I'm a big fan of the Chicken Sandwich, which is made with a juicy chicken breast that is perfectly cooked and topped with lettuce, tomato, and Slim Sauce. I also love the Waffle Fries, which are crispy and flavorful.

My boyfriend and I walked in about 15 minutes before they were about to close. We ordered the hungry plate, and got two teriyaki dipping sauces, and a side of mac n cheese. I asked the guy working the register how hot inferno actually was, and he let me have a container of that sauce as well, so that I could taste it. The two sauces we had were delicious, and very flavorful. The main thing I would like to say is the guy politely explain to me that they didn't have any more Mac n cheese made because they were getting ready to close. While I was figuring out a different side to substitute it for, he went and talked to his manager and a cook, and they made a whole thing of Mac n cheese just because I had ordered it! Along with the mix of going back in forth of having it, and not, and then having it being made for my order, they also gave me a HUGE container of it to take some home with me for FREE. As we were walking out, 2 of the employees asked me if I wanted a to go box. I work in restaurants myself, and although this is not exactly a sit down restaurant, this place has outstanding customer service. Slim Chickens is a popular place. We have been to two locations, Mt. Juliet and Murfreesboro. Both times the food was great. You know it's yummy when juices flow. No dry chicken here. Now grant you, they are a popular place. Sometimes the line is out the door and around the building in both the drive through and walk-in. They are that good. Pick your time wisely to get in the dining room. Even late in the evening when the dining room is near closing the chicken was fresh, juicy, tender. Perfection. The services was friendly, managers were treating their employees well during our last visit, and excellent friendly CSR assistance helping us make a decision because there were so many options. The sweet tea was just right. My only issue is the macaroni was a little sour, but that is a taste preference due to the use of sour cream and hard cheddar cheese. I prefer medium cheese, but that is me not them. So, I tweaked it a bit for my preference when I got home to taste like my homemade mac and cheese. The seasoned fries were worth getting.
