You're Worth itYou're Worth it
Let me share my experience with you helping you to make your decision where to eat or even if you want to eat at a buffet! First, if you think you can eat over $46 worth of food, think again. Second, if you think the price is too high given the cost of fuel and everything else skyrocketed, you're crazy. In short the price is reasonable since all the buffets in town are at similar pricing. You know your own stomach capacity. If you want to pay less, go before 3:00 p.m. Find a coupon book for $6 discount for each adult, good for the entire party. With coupon, you're paying $40 per person. It is a very clean, beautiful restaurant. The inside atmosphere is pleasant reflecting Marine creatures. The wait staff are extremely friendly and customer oriented. At some point in time, several of the wait staff were teaching guests how to eat crab legs using the proper tools! The bathroom cleanliness was average given the fact that there were papers litters of papers littering. Soap dispensers were full. Toilet stalls were clean. Food quality is average. We had four people in the parties and NO one identified the crab legs as being their favorites. Among the favorites were, Cold items-shrimp and oyster, warm items prime rib, steak, and fried shrimp. The buffet items are well stocked. The fried items some of them are overcooked. Attention: The crab legs in general were overcooked. Properly cooked crab legs are easily cracked when bent. Overcooked crab legs are pliable, not cracking and in fact has to be cut with a tool. The stone crab were not fresh, previously frozen. Possibly frostbite. I have eaten tons of stone crab since I'm a Floridian and all fresh stone crab meat are in chunks, not like grated cheese. The meat flaked off due to Long freezer burns or possibly overcooked again like the snow crab legs. Overall, did we have a pleasant experience at this restaurant? Yes we did because we were together. Did we enjoy the food? Yes we did even with the average quality of the flavor and food items. Did we pay too much? No because the merchant has to pay for these items, their rent and employees. Don't massacre them. As I have indicated to my wait staff to inform the manager, they need to do a better job with their snow crab legs. The first time when I complaint about the snow crab legs being overcooked, the wait staff went to the kitchen and brought me, according to them, freshly cooked crab legs. Unfortunately, at the same time, a fresh new batch of crab legs came out in to the buffet line. I truly believe the kitchen crew made the same batch of crab legs and my wait staff brought out a plate indicated that it was specially made for me. Anyway, they try to please the guest, however, they're still not doing a good job in cooking the crab legs. It was still overcooked and difficult to eat! Overcooked crab legs tasted more like dry cardboard or rubber band! That is why I give them a 2-star for the food items. Again, if the manager or owner wants to talk to me more about it, I am here. No one other than my wait staff, took my comments seriously at the time of dining. Better still, as owner try the food yourself and try somewhere else ...non- buffet, so you may improve your cooking process in order to improve and remain competitive!

My family and I dined at your restaurant on May 25, 2025, and we were initially impressed by the atmosphere. However, our experience took a disappointing turn when it came time to settle the bill. I was dining with five children: two 16-year-olds who were understandably charged adult prices, and three younger ones two 7-year-olds and a 12-year-old. However, the 12-year-old was also charged at the adult rate. When I brought this to the attention of our waitress, she kindly offered to check on the issue. Unfortunately, she returned to inform me that the manager had denied my request for a change. I then requested to speak with the manager directly. I reiterated my concern, and while he acknowledged that mistakes happen, he insisted that once an entry is made in the system, it cannot be modified. I found this response quite unreasonable. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I believe strongly in the principle that the customer is always right. Unfortunately, this incident did not reflect that philosophy, and I found the management’s handling of the situation to be unprofessional and rude. I believe my family and I were unfairly charged for the meal of a 12-year-old who should not have been considered an adult in this context. I urge you to address this matter, as it significantly impacted our dining experience. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Below is a copy of the receipt and the prices are extremely high and unreasonable. And the waitress adds her tip already once the ticket is presented.

Crabby George's Calabash buffet offers an impressive dining experience with its diverse array of delicious options. This restaurant is a paradise for seafood lovers and steak enthusiasts alike. The seafood buffet is a standout feature, boasting a generous selection of fresh, high-quality options. From succulent shrimp and perfectly cooked crab legs to a variety of oysters and clams, each dish is presented with flair and packed with flavor. The seafood is consistently fresh, and the accompanying sauces and sides elevate the experience even further. Equally impressive is the steak selection. The steaks are cooked to order and seasoned just right. The ribeye, with its perfect marbling and rich flavor, is particularly notable, while the filet mignon is tender and buttery. The carving station provides a delightful touch, allowing you to enjoy expertly prepared cuts of meat that are both juicy and satisfying. Sides and accompaniments, including roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, and a variety of salads, complement the main dishes beautifully. The dessert selection rounds off the meal with an array of sweet treats that are sure to please. Crabby George's Calabash Buffet combines the best of both worlds with its exceptional seafood and steak offerings. It’s a place where you can indulge in high-quality dishes and enjoy a truly satisfying dining experience.

Do not go off the reviews!!

I took my wife here because I thought we were going into a well established, quality establishment and were sadly disappointed from the first moment we walked in. I always like to research where to go ahead of time based off of reviews, but the reviews are terribly misleading.

We were greeted with a friendly welcome but then asked if we were going to be using any coupons ahead of seating us. That alarmed me in thinking this was a place that people like to take advantage of couponing which I really don't have any major issues with until I looked at the pricing!

The buffet alone is $50 per person but if you choose not to get the buffet, you can't choose anything less than $20 and the entrees aren't worth anything near that. My wife doesn't do well with buffets as she can never eat more than one plateful so she decided to order off the menu instead to try and get more for our money and not waste it. She was sadly disappointed when she realized that they just took something from the buffet and put it on a plate and charged her $25 for a plate of popcorn shrimp, some sad fries, and a flavorless corn on the cob.

We overheard someone in the table next to us mention that their friend had eaten there and to stay away from the seafood sitting in the butter sauces as she had gotten sick. That alarmed me and so I made sure not to touch anything in that section. Honestly the only thing that was worth the time (not so much the money) were the crab legs. They were decent. Not great, but decent and definitely not worth $50. The rest of the buffet was sub par at best. It was the kind of food you eat hoping the next bite you take will be better than the last, but alas, it's not.

Do not waste your time or your money here. We ended up spending over $100 and only one of us got the buffet. Drinks alone for regular soft drinks/iced tea are $5.00 a piece.

I do want to mention that the staff and our server was very nice and friendly. Our drinks were always filled and we were well attended to. Wanted to say, work somewhere you'll be more appreciated for your efforts.

Save your time and money and stay in Barefoot landing. At least you are getting what you pay for.

Im like this when it comes dealing with any place of business. To me it's all about how well employees respond to customers. We got to this place around 2 something pm on a Saturday so wasn't hardly anyone in there. We were greeted by the young lady at front desk and her greeting was what I call programmed greeting and smile which is what she is paid and told to do and you could tell that it wasn't genuine and warm.We were seated very quick and our waitress got to us fast and once again our waitress came to us with the programmed interaction and nothing warm or personable about it.The food was good I must say.The French fries were cold and chewy and the mac and cheese was well all I can say is don't get it,other than that all other food was good. They have a decent selection of food but as far reupping the food they had pizza on the buffet and only had 3 slices left ok buffet island and the whole time we were in there eating until the time we left never put anymore out which I didn't like because I had my grandkids and they wanted pizza. They let buffet food get super lowe before they reup the food on the buffet which I didn't like at all.while eating they came and took our photo and when the guy who took photo asked if we wanted a photo I jokingly trying to engage friendly banter to get a smile from him said "how much does this cost" while smiling because he stated once he asked if we wanted a photo that it was free. The guy as I could see by look on his face took offense to it and I laughed at this point and said again "how much for photo" and the guy clinched jaw repeated "It's free".This place is very kid friendly whereas they give the kids free cotton candy and also gave my grandkids a cup to take with them.Would I go back again, yes but it wouldnt be a first choice as it...
