Wow, Myrtle Beach has so many awesome local eateries and boy am I glad we found this one. Awesome little find on Ocean Blvd, thanks to online reviews, and it quickly became a favorite after just 1 visit. We stopped in for breakfast about 8:30 and the place already had quite a few tables filled and the customers kept coming in while we were there - we were there just a couple of weeks ago so pretty much the off season plus it was during the week so I imagine this place is pretty busy in the summer. Our awesome server, Meredith, quickly greeted us and got us started with drinks while we perused the menu, I ended up going with the biscuit with sausage gravy while hubby decided on the Big Chicken Biscuit topped with a fried egg and tomato and covered in sausage gravy. Both of our meals were delicious but I have to say that hubby has not stopped talking about how delicious his meal was (mine was yummy as well but I had a bite of his and I totally regret not ordering the same). The chicken was fried to perfection - crispy and flavorful on the outside, moist and succulent on the inside - the egg and tomato brought the meal together while the sausage gravy was the icing on the cake (I can only imagine the level this dish elevates to when a sweet red, ripe local tomato is in play). Hubby and I both agree that breakfast at LuLu's Cafe was the highlight of our short visit. Love the decor and especially love that they have outdoor seating (hoping that equates to dog friendly dining we can take advantage of during our next vacation), also really loved the mismatched china, really made the...

My friend and I visited Lulu's after seeing an Instagram post suggesting it as a 1950's vintage diner.... it did not feel like a 1950's diner. We're from NY, we know diners.

There was no wait and we were seated quickly.

We ordered our coffee and our meal. The coffee cups are huge! When I think diner, I think the small, diner coffee mugs. These were full size mugs, at least 12 or 14 oz, so this was a win.

Our food arrived pretty quickly, but the taste left much to be desired.

My friend got the Lulu's French Toast. On the menu it says that it comes with a warm berry compote. She got fresh berries and no compote. The French toast was your average run of the mill breakfast food. Nothing memorable.

I ordered the Monterey Scrambler. The eggs were a little runny but tolerable. The saving grace was the plentiful full size shrimp pieces. The home fries were very over seasoned.

For 2 cups of coffee and 2 entrees, our total was $42. This seems a bit high for what we received.

The flies were annoying. If we were eating out on the porch it would make sense, but not inside. Shooing them away detracted from the experience.

Parking is a little difficult. There is metered parking at the back of the restaurant and a strip of grass on the left hand side where you can park. There aren't really any signs telling you where to go, we just parked next to another car and confirmed with the staff once we were inside. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal.

Overall, friendly staff, food is below average. Google rating of 4.4~ does not...

Food is good. Drinks are great. However, the service my party received was by far the worst experience I have had at a restuarant. We came in with a large party (ten). I understand that this is a lot for a server. We are easy to please and usually good tippers though. Out of the 10, two of our party shared meals. Everyone did get water, plus three of us got drinks with alcohol. My issue is only with our waitress Joanne, who from the get go acted like we all were all an inconvenience. She was extremely rude, which all my party can deal with. When we asked what a specialty drink costs we were told " You'll have to wait. I have to put it in the computer" very persnickity. But here is where my main issue starts, before we got out bill we could all hear her talking about us. About sharing meals ( mind you TWO out of TEN people shared meals) and about our water preference, eye rolling with another waiter. Not only uncomfortable but very embarrassing, as a paying customer I feel anyone...

Came on a Sunday around 10 a.m., and it was pleasantly not packed. Sat down right away. Cute breakfast/lunch restaurant. There was lots of patio seating we enjoyed. It's not too hot or cold. It did start drizzling a bit, but nothing that made us move away. Ordered their handmade chips and dip, charleston Benedict, chicken & waffles & their BLT with fries. EVERYTHING was delicious! Their charleston Benedict were surprisingly delicious. Crab cakes were very well marinated, and their eggs were just right. We did have issues with being served cold soggy fries, but they immediately brought out fresh and hot ones. They were delicious! Our serve Ashley was nothing less than amazing! He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the whole menu and made great recommendations. Definitely recommend this spot and will be back for sure. They have plenty of free parking around the establishment. Located right on the strip.

Went here for our fist meal after ourbovernight drive from Ohio. Cute place. It ia oceanview not oceanfront. We sat on the patio and you can see the view in the photos I attached. Service was great. Food was good bur not worth the price, in my opinion. In fact, I thought everything was pricey. I got an Eggs Benedict. It was tasty. Came with a bowl of unflavored grits. $14.99. My wife got a fruit bowl. It was big but nothing special, $9.99. My wife got a mimosa. It was pretty small and was $9.50. All together our bill came to $44+tip. Way more than I was thinking for a breakfast place but we were hungry and were already there. So, after all that I got a ticket on my window, in the lot adjacent to the restaurant that they were going to tow my car. You can get a better value elsewhere for $44 and not have to worry about your car getting towed. Live and learn but we will eat elsewhere next time.

I spent 4 days in Myrtle Beach and this was by far my least favorite place I ate at. We sat outside which was nice because you’re sort of close to the beach. The service was okay and the food was NOT worth the price. ($85 for 3 people?!) There were so many flies outside, the food did not taste good, and the prices were outrageous for what you got. My table ordered an assortment of items (Traditional breakfast, a scramble, and the biscuits & gravy. I had the Southern dish which was biscuits, fried eggs, bacon, all topped with gravy. My food came out cold and it didn’t taste good. The coffee tasted horrible. No matter how much sugar & creamer I added it didn’t help the taste. Save your money and spend it at a better breakfast place up the road.
