DO NOT EVER EAT HERE!!!!! I came here back in May food was good the service was great. I don't know what happened, change of ownership I honestly do not know. I had the worst service ever when i came back June 1st. I spent over $90 on food. Got charged 19% for gratuity, for me and my daughter to be told we could not sit at the booth unless we are seated by HIM. There wasn't anybody else even in the restaurant everybody was sitting outside. We had just got told that we could eat in. So I left with my food walked 20-25 minutes to family kingdom and sat down to see they put a bunch of lettuce under my fried pickles. Mind you I just ordered the same thing in May. I received half as many pickles and it was because the whole bottom was full of wet lettuce. I opened all my plates but its like they purposely hid the lettuce because i did not see the lettuce until i ate my 3rd pickle and it was wet at family kingdom. So my pickles were soggy as can be but I had already bought my daughter tickets for some rides so we walked back after using said tickets. Got back an hour and a half later and I didn't have an attitude I did walk past the Jamaican with the rude attitude because he didn't take my order anyway and walked to the person who did. I told him the situation. I told him I had ordered the same thing in May and took it home to NC and they still weren't that soggy even showed him the lettuce dripping and everything. I ate them in NC 3 hours later and didn't even have to refry them before. I simply asked for either a refund or for them to be remade because they were soggy! I was then told with an attitude that it's because we waited 2 hours. That they always "garnish" their fried food with a huge bed of lettuce? My 2 fish an chips platters didn't have a huge bed of lettuce! My seafood platter didn't either and I had fried shrimp and fried pickles in that. I honestly believe the issue was that I had said something outloud because we got kicked out of the booth when nobody was even in the restaurant... horrible customer service and I hope anybody who has kids never takes them here. They expect you to eat at the bar with drunk people with your kids. That's what they told us. After spending over $90 instead of fixing the situation that we should have ate at the bar or outside.
Update- you're definitely right. I did throw the pickles in your restaurant because I was gonna get my money back one way or another, even if that meant you cleaning up for once in your nasty restaurant. Petty or not, all you had to do was remake them i had other fried food and didnt ask for it to be remade. They were soggy after 25-30 minutes. You put them over wet lettuce... be for real here. I had other fried food and I only asked for my pickles to be remade. All my other food was fine. And after saying no with an attitude like all your other staff had you then proceeded threaten to call the police on me and my family. And I was never told I had to be seated by staff when I asked him if it was okay to sit in and eat. I was rudely told to get out of the booth and there was no other clarification on that. I do not regret throwing those soggy pickles and I'm not offended to never be welcomed there. Even other customers in the restaurant were telling you thats not how you run a business... You'd get better service in a mcdonalds than your restaurant,...
Read moreWe entered to have a fun dinner on the last day of our trip. We were seated quickly as there weren't many people there on a Sunday night. Our waiter dropped off our menus and 1 drink menu for a table of 5. He seemed to be in a rush to take our drink order as we passed around the single drink menu. This was evidenced by his tone and posture. I ordered the pineapple chicken which came with a salad (no effort to make or real flavor), fries (basic), vegetables (underseasoned), and the grilled chicken with pineapples (basic). Nothing was good enough for me to recommend the dish. Fine, we just wanted to have a fun last night. Two of my table mates ordered the moe burger that advertises a free tshirt if you finish. When our waiter came with our check we asked for the 2 shirts. I had cheered my tablemates to finish since they were so close to the shirt. It was the only reason they ordered a $30 burger! The waiter ran my card then came back and stated they only had small and medium shirts. No one at the table is visibly that small. The waiter was asked for a resolution. He left and came back laughing with small kid size string bags and koozies. He stated we could put beer in the koozies. When a guest shared that she did not want them and didn't drink beer he stated that she should start and kept laughing about it. He was asked to grab a manager. She arrived already in defense mode. She ultimately did they don't refund or give credits for credit cards. Then that she didn't know how to do it. She stated we can come back tomorrow despite being told we were flying out. There was zero empathy which made the experience so negative. We had to ask for a number to call. She then stated the manager who returns tomorrow can review the receipt and issue a credit. We left with a rude and disappointing experience. We did try to call. No one seems to answer and they reportedly don't check voicemails. I would never recommend or return. Nothing was special. Other venues have fishbowls and specialty drinks with better food.
The response to my families reviews is reflective of the character of the staff we encountered. Defensive. Rude. In this case management lies? Crazy. No one cursed at staff. It's not even in our character. So that is very outrageous to say. Additionally, blaming the customer for bad service? Crazy unprofessional. The business did not fulfill an obligation. The energy was. Take what you can get and go versus trying to make the customer happy or communicate effectively. The 15% off was offered then resended because the manager reportedly could only do it if we paid cash or before they charged my card. The ask to return when we were meant to be to the airport. Unrealistic. It was our last night and the combination of being rushed at first, the laughing when the issue arose, and the defensive stance and lack of empathy was just unprofessional. If you mail out shirts that should've been an immediate resolution offered and that would've ended the conversation. Honesty i think unless we just reduced our expectations for quality service the staff would not have been happy. The interaction was adults having a conversation but the staff defensiveness and lack of problem solving skills...
Read moreI came in last night to eat, I was here visiting from NC. It took them forever to seat me and my party, it was just two of us but two more were coming. The host gave me attitude about having two more on the way when the restaurant was over 50% empty and most were sitting outside anyway. We got sat in a booth near the entrance in a section where nobody else was sitting, and we waited for our sever to come for over 10 minutes. We ordered fried pickles and the server came with chips and salsa and when we corrected him, he was confused and handed us if POS device and asked if what he put in was correct…it seemed like he was confused so much of the time. Also the host kept looking at us and nagging us about our two other people, who did actually come! We got our food and weren’t checked in at all until I asked for the bill from another server walking by us. Our server proceeded to walk past us multiple times until I had to wave him over and ask for the bill, two which he gave me a gave me it and tried to leave but I was in a rush because my parking meter time was up, so I asked to just pay in the POS device. I had just gotten a meal and offered to pay for the starter, guessing that it was around $30, when I saw that the bill was over $40 because of a “service charge” and auto gratuity. Very confusing since I received barely any service and the party was four people and only two of us ordered meals. I’m usually very forgiving of servers given I am also a server and bartender at a fast paced restaurant, but this was just a mess. Service needs to do better. Food was okay and atmosphere and location was...
