Sugar Twist — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

My husband & I took our 2 kids to myrtle beach for a family getaway. After finding parking, we went into this establishment immediately, because they were the closest to us. I immediately saw their clothes, & thought to myself I could buy souvenirs on top of candy! How amazing! But I had to use the bathroom. I asked the young lady if they had a bathroom that I could use, she said no. I then asked if she knew where the closest bathroom was so if I could save time that would be great since I have a 4 month old & a 2 year old. She looked over to her male colleague, and said things in Spanish that I couldn’t understand then said she didn’t know. At this point my children are already getting frustrated, & I feel like my intelligence is being insulted. How do you work somewhere, & not know where the nearest bathroom is? At this point, I left the establishment & my husband left the candy he was collecting because of the poor customer service. It’s in situations like these, it feels like the treatment is based on my race because I did nothin to warrant poor treatment. It’s a business, you have 2 jobs; deliver the product/service you advertised & provide good customer service. This really made me feel bad, would not go back, don’t care how good their products might be.

Edit: why would you hire someone who doesn’t understand something as simple as; where is the nearest bathroom? She was rude. That’s why the review...

This was such a a fun little stop! I was drawn in by the idea of drinking a Pina colada smoothie from a cored pineapple on the beach, and they made my dream come true! At face value it looks like just a candy shop (and they do have a ton of unique and fantastic candies), but in the back you will find gobs of ice creams to try and my favorite - the pineapple cop of smoothie. It's a little pricey but the experience was worth it.

Also while I was there (late night on a weekend) a couple guys were doing something sketchy at the front door and the clerk ran over and confronted them right away, diffusing whatever they were up to. I really appreciated his attentiveness and courage, and felt safer knowing he was proactive in protecting his business...

Stopped in here while we were at the beach. We ordered the Oreo madness the vanilla frappucino and another ice cream which I can't remember the name. Everything we ordered was good. Obviously this place is busy on the weekends with people in and out. The service was great staff was friendly. Prices are fair for being beach prices. Overall we had a great experience here.
