Hops & Crafts — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I wanted to love this place 😭 I’m docking stars for a lack of “friendly” or “warm and inviting” environment - which several reviews mention. I just moved to Nashville and finding a local craft beer bar was on my list to find immediately. I was so excited to try Hops and Crafts - I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and upon walking in, with only 1 other patron in the establishment, I immediately felt unwanted in this establishment. The bartender stared at me and I brightly gave her a “hi” with a smile as I sat down at the bar. Her conversation with the only other patron immediately concluded. She asked me what I wanted, with a tone of annoyance, as I watched the rotating menu on the tv (please stop with these) and I proceeded to order. She gets me a beer, a couple other people walk in - they are greeted with smiles , friendly hellos - I was quite taken aback. Once the other patrons got situated, outside of the music, you could hear a pin drop. The bartender sat on a stool in the corner of the bar on her phone. It was so incredibly uncomfortable. As more people started to trickle in the greetings they received were so warm and welcome while mine was stone cold. 10/10 on the beer craft beer selection but the overall vibes are...

Hops & Crafts is that rare unicorn: a genuinely local-feeling bar tucked right in the middle of the very polished, very tourist-heavy Gulch. I didn’t think it was possible either—but here we are.

This place has all the laid-back charm you’d want from a neighborhood bar without sacrificing quality or atmosphere. The staff are super friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and the rotating beer list is chef’s kiss. They always have something new and interesting on tap, from local brews to hard-to-find seasonal pours. Whether you’re a beer nerd or just along for the ride, you’ll find something you love.

It’s the kind of spot where you can come solo and strike up a convo with someone at the bar, or bring a few friends and settle in for a long hang. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city—and hands down the best in the Gulch for anyone who lives here and isn’t just...

Bartender attentive, friendly and amazingly knowledgeable of the brew served there.

I do not drink beer, but I advise him, he got me and what I was all about, he pointed me the right way for sure. not like other breweries where they serve you another kind of fruity beer, this guy hit the spot with his suggestion.

Stiedl radler- like a shandy and super sweet just like I love, I am all about the sweet so this was the best choice ever, fruity, sweet and I could not top drinking it.
