Please avoid this location. Jack browns has great burgers but it’s so worth it to drive to the Germantown location or Green hills when they're open. My husband and I go to Jack Browns often and always take friends and family but at this location we were kicked out… refused service for no good reason at all. I’ve never been kicked out of a restaurant and it was wild. Long story, short my husband (who is black) was the only person at our table who was asked to show ID. We were with my younger brother and his GF who both look 18. I didn’t have my ID on me so the server said I’m sorry I can’t serve you (which is totally fine) but then my little brother and his gf order a beer when she comes back and she doesn’t ask for either of their IDs (not a huge deal but weird because we just talked about this). Then I simply ask if a photo of mine would work and was told “no” so I ordered a Diet Coke. A few minutes later another servers comes up to us to “apologize” and we explain what happened and say it’s not a big deal it just felt weird and I ask for a Diet Coke again but before she leaves she says actually let me go ahead and check everyone’s ID. My husband already showed his to our server so he didn’t reach for his again… This instantly pissed off the women and she said if my husband didn’t show ID then he had to leave and he simply and calmly asked why it was necessary since he just showed our server and she could ask our server. This women was not serving us drinks and he did not need to simply “do as she said”… people don’t just walk up to you in a restaurant and ask to see your ID if they aren’t serving you alcohol… we didn’t say any of that but instead of answering the question she states again that we need to leave and storms off.. we were gathering cash to leave on the table for our drinks because we felt so uncomfortable and wanted to go asap. Then the manager comes out all fired up and straight to our table goes “what’s the problem are we refusing to show ID” we are still calm and simply try to explain and the 2 IDs that were not checked are still out on the table. Truly didn’t see the problem. The manager is like visibly angry with us with his hands down on our table insisting again that my husband show his ID and all he wanted to know was why. This guy claps his hand (causing a scene) and says “your drinks are on me just finish them and get out” and walks off shouting “Merry Christmas” we were stunned bc at no point did we fight or raise our voices even the slightest. Didn’t even get many words out at all and we were forced to leave after we had ordered and been waiting on our food for awhile already. I never got my Diet Coke either lol. Honestly it was a very strange and inappropriate situation and I still don’t understand what grounds there were to kick us out. We left peacefully and never once returned the energy they were giving us. It felt like discrimination and that should not be tolerated. It was the worst service experience all around. The whole interaction was so disrespectful and disappointing. Also, it’s illegal to give people free drinks so they maybe shouldn’t do that especially when we were happy to pay and simply wanted our food and the bare minimum service that we were denied. I can’t help but wonder if they would have treated someone that looked different a different way…. Because what the hell was that if not discriminatory. My brother kept saying after that he really wished he pulled out his phone and recorded their behavior. I so wish I did too but I think I was too in shock to...
Read moreSo I was told this place has one of the best burgers in town, so I was like, let's give it a try. Place is packed as it's trivia night, no big deal. We find a table outside and I go inside to order. I stand at the end of the bar completely visible. Bartender doesn't pay me any attention talks with a customer for 5 minutes or so. She turns around and starts walking away from me. I said hey excuse me ma'am politely. She turns around and says it will be a few minutes in a not friendly demeanor. I wait as she walks across the bar, serves no one, and I don't see her do anything for a couple minutes, then proceeds to come back and asks what I want. I said I wanted a double cheese burger and fries with cheese. Then I said I was hoping you could make a cocktail, and she said they don't do cocktails. I'm like, okay, can you do a vodka lemonade then? She said ya. Well, I know it doesn't seem that big of a deal, but how you deliver any message is how they are going to take it. She seemed uppety and very short and very rude. It's not welcoming at all. It's pretty sad as the bar seems very nice and the food was good but that service was just plain awful. I won't come back ever, and I'd tell others to stay away as well. There's plenty of places where you will get treated with at least basic customer decency. She was not overly busy. She's just lazy with no care for customers. Hope the bosses don't need any new customers with her back there. Also, i might add that i was the only person on the patio who was given a to go bag instead of a basket to eat my food out of? It was a truly awful experience. If the bartender says I'm lying, check every other review I have done. You will have to scroll a long time to find another...
Read moreI have visited the Germantown location in the past but stopped by this location on a Wednesday evening around 5pm for the first time. We sat outside as it was a nice day. Our waitress greeted us and we ordered some beers off the seasonal menu which according to the sign on the table were part of a happy hour special for a dollar off. Unfortunately both were out, no worries for us we went with the suggestions our waitress made which were both still on the seasonal menu. We ordered food and everything came out fine. My issue was when we got the bill. We noticed that the beers weren't discontinued. Not a huge deal so we asked our waitress about. She stated she was a shift lead and had never heard of that being part of the happy hour and that it was only 2 for 1 domestics and dollar off draft beers. I showed her the sign literally on the table and she said nope that's not our happy our deal there isn't even a button. I explained that I would have ordered a different beer if I had known it wasn't part of the promotion. She basically just shrugged her shoulders and walked away to ring us out. When she came back she reiterated that she was a shift lead and that she asked one of the other shift leads and they said the deal was from over a year ago and they didn't do it anymore. I'm surprised that every single table still had the sign on the table stating that was the promotion. My 2 star review is strictly for the customer service. I get it was just 2 dollars but it's the principle of the whole thing. She never once apologized. She acted like it wasn't her problem. I will literally never go back to this restaurant because of the attitude of this waitress (...
