Keke’s Cafe is very disappointing and unfortunate, but I hope this review can add to their possible potential.
There is beautiful scenery around Keke’s cafe, and a pretty safe area, to walk around and shop. However, to come and dine here would mean you can’t have any food allergies. If you do have food allergies, this will be an unsafe and unsanitary choice for you and/or your loved ones. Especially if you have children that cannot speak up for their needs, this place is not informative when it comes to the ingredients in the food. I’d hate to see anyone, especially young children end up ill, due to lack of services, accommodations, and care provided at this restaurant. If you, your partners, family, or children, have allergies, especially dairy allergies, this place can’t and won’t cater to your needs. I am sure I’ll receive a reply from the restaurant themselves, and please understand, it is nothing personal. However, I will not write a five star review for a one star deserved place. I am not here to fool others and tempt others like devil to come here, when they are insincere and poorly trained in relation to what this place can offer. I believe in honesty, which is why I provide an honest review. As the wise ones know, honesty is important, especially when it comes to false advertising and creating allergic reactions. If you don’t want to end up needing your EpiPen, or see your loved ones struggling to breath, avoid this place at all costs. They cannot and will not accommodate to your needs, nor allergies. Keke’s cafe, thank you for the experience. No, it is not a “milk” nor “gluten” allergy, but medically correctly speaking, it’s called a “dairy allergy”. I hope this helps you gain understanding and awareness for your future customers who deserve proper service. I’d hate to see a lovely designed place go to waste, due to losing more and more customers. Thank you for your time and I appreciate you for not allowing me to waste more of it. Because time is something always spent, yet unable to be given back. Please don’t waste your provided time on this earth, given to you by the lord, to falsely and tempt others and lie like devil. What you do on this Earth, even a lack effort, is tested upon your judgement, and will be something that follows you. Good luck to your future, depending on whether you follow given advice or not, and I will be delighted to come back once your menu is updated, safe, and appropriate for all. Warmest regards and...
Read moreWe were really excited to try the new KeKe’s in the Gulch since we’re regulars at the Gallatin and Mt. Juliet locations, but this visit was disappointing.
When we arrived, the hostess wasn’t taking names for a waitlist. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes to be sat even though there were empty booths. She did get us settled, brought silverware, and took our drink order, but it seemed like the staff was stretched thin. Only one hostess was working (other locations usually have 2–3), and not all tables were being used.
Once seated, service didn’t improve. Our server didn’t check in for refills, and we waited close to an hour for food. To make matters worse, the meals came out at different times—two of us were halfway through eating before my mom’s omelette even arrived, with no apology or acknowledgment for the delay.
We were also surprised by an extra $0.50 charge for sourdough toast. If toast is included with a meal, the upcharge should be reflected clearly on the menu.
We’ve had consistently good experiences at other KeKe’s locations, but this one didn’t match the level of service or quality we’ve come to expect. Hopefully they can get staffing and service figured out, because right now it doesn’t feel like the same...
Read moreMy wife loves looking up new places in town for us to try good food.
We decided to try Keke breakfast on 11th Ave. Good review and everything. We waited 25 minutes which is not bad. We sat down, looked over the menu and we were ready to order. After we ordered our food, we noticed a black family get up and leave. My wife over heard one of the people say that they had waited a while for their food and never got it.
We waited for over an hour for our food and of course it came out cold😡. If I wanted cold food, I would ate a bologna sandwich at home. I didnt get my toast. I told our server that our food was cold and I was missing my toast. She brings my toast as if I was going to keep eating cold eggs... another couple was sitting in front of us and they were waiting as well.
The same server that we had told the couple in that was seated in front of that she didnt know how long it was going to take for their food to come out and that they should find another place...
