To me it is what it is. Not totally great but way better than the worst. (My best friend Michelle would give it a 5 star review). Great outdoor seating option and large dining area with lots of seating options. (The chairs hurt my butt and back but I guess it could be because there's no padding on the seats for my boney butt, (I lost a LOT of weight during chemo and in the process lost my beautiful perfect tush 😔 lol), and bc of my back issues the way the seats are built puts too much pressure and stress on my back). Not a fan or if truth be told, I can not stand the their Garbanzo Beans Hummus with Tortilla chips but my best friend loves it. I'm a texture freak and don't like mushy foods but also the other part of it is the taste--I don't really care for garbanzo beans. You may ask: Then why did you get it? 1). It was free and came with our order. (2). Michelle LOVES it so I tried it. Everything else I've eaten has been either good or great. I do LOVE their Tomato Bisque Soup! I think every one of their sandwiches come on pita bread as every one of the sandwiches has been on the pita bread. It's a nice change over buns plus it's less fattening and a healthier alternative. They're drink options are Coke products, bottled water, sweet and unsweet tea, (if I'm not mistaken), they have green tea as well, (it's either Michelle always asks if they have it or she orders it. I promise it's not that I don't pay attention to her but I don't pay attention to what she orders--I'm busy trying to decide what I want to go with my order of tasty side of sauteed vegetable medley and my side of rice (both are a tasty treat. Yumm). It's fast food but not fast-food and served table side. Prices are not break the bank expensive. (About the a same as a McDonald's Big Mack meal with a fruit pie--but a much healthier option and a lot more food). Taziki's not only indoor seating or a small patio with a few tables but If you're in a rush, you can do call ahead ordering for take out and a catering service for larger events dining options. Conveniently located at the corner of 29th Ave. South and West End Ave about 5 blocks from Vanderbilt University Greek row, about 7ish blocks from Vanderbilt University's main entrance, about two blocks diagonally across the street to Centennial Park. A half block away from Starbucks And a block diagonally across the parking lot to Michelle's house. There is a pay parking lot beside Taziki's but parking in the lot for Taziki's...
Read moreThe food from here appeared to be good quality. The salad , salmon and Chargrilled Lamb were also served in sizeable portions. However, the restaurnt failed to follow my specific instructions on not to add FETA cheese on my salad ,which is verry frustrating when your order totals 50$ through UBER eats and you're not eligible for a refund. The unwanted topping covered my entire salad making my meal verry hard to eat and stressfull ill try them again only because of the differnt healthy options avaiable but they definetly disappointed me as a first time customer hopefully this doesn't happen again. UPDATE I REORDERED THE NEXT DAY AND STORE FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS I RECEIVED MY ORDER EXACTLY AS REQUESTED HOWEVER I ADDED A CUP UP FRUIT THIS TIME AND FOR THE PRICE THE SERVING WAS NOT SUFFICIENT BY A FEW PIECES OF FRUIT * FINAL UPDATE** DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ON UBER EATS THEY SCREWED MY ORDER UP 3 OUT OF THE FOUR TIMES I ORDERED BY ADDING FETA !! THEY CLAIM ITS A NOTE DELIVERY FAILURE ISSUE ON UBERS END AND THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO PROCESS A REFUND AND WILL UBER WONT...
Read moreIf you have not had the chance to experience Taziki’s, you are sorely missing out. This chain restaurant is a part of the new “healthy” restaurants that do not sacrifice any of the taste for the quality. Price-wise, it is really marginally more expensive than fast food places.
For the food, the chicken is exceptional - not seasoned much, but the pure chicken taste is absolutely fantastic. Yes, it can be a little drier than desired, but that makes it all the better to dunk and eat with their Taziki sauce, a delicious, white, yogurt-based sauce made with cucumbers.
Their rice is excellent and soft with some herbs and oil.
The potatoes are out of this world - definitely get these roasted red potatoes.
They have excellent pita chips, hummus, chicken pastas, and chocolate chip cookies. Definitely one of, if not my favorite...
