This was my first visit visit to French Truck. I was looking forward to trying their New Orleans Iced Coffee. I politely asked for “slightly less ice” (their iced coffee is poured over a cup overfilled to the absolute brim with ice). I was told this would be a dollar extra. My face was shocked and the barista told me that with less ice “they need to charge for adding more coffee”. I didn’t ask for no ice. I didn’t even ask for only half the amount of ice. I asked for SLIGHTLY less, and that warrants a dollar up-charge? Would I actually be getting that much “more coffee”? This is absurdity. There are also nice touches like a sleek modern interior, self serve water that has fresh fruit in it, and they even have a punch card for...
Read moreIn A Nutshell:
-French Truck Coffee is a local coffee chain with locations around NOLA, Louisiana & Memphis. -They source from origin bringing you the freshest beans in small batches & roast them for you promptly. -During hot & muggy days like the current heat dome we're experiencing in the Dirty South, you'll be happy to down a nice cold cup of New Orleans Iced Coffee. -Not only is the coffee amazing, but the type of ice they use is my favorite crushed ice that pairs perfectly w/ this iced coffee. -I like the name French Truck Coffee along w/ the bright yellow color they use. -You can even purchase their coffee at local grocery stores too.
Overall, if you are NOLA, you need to stop by for some...
