I'm being generous with the three stars. I loved Courtyard Brewery when it was located in the glorified loading dock a few blocks away with used Entergy spools as tables. Back then, the tap list was extensive (close to 30 beers).
I love the ambiance of this new place; the courtyard is awesome! However, I was excited to visit there on Saturday, April 13, 2024 with my brother Ed who was visiting from North Canton, Ohio ( he was especially excited because the owner brought some brews to the Hall of Fame weekend in Canton some years ago). There were two young ladies behind the counter who said they couldn't serve us because they were under age (what the hell were they doing back there then) but within five minutes we were taken care of by a very friendly server. Sadly, there were only about 8 beers on tap and he had to maneuver around one of the young ladies' head to pour the beer from the tap. I want to say that this visit was an aberration. I plan to visit again soon in the hopes of seeing many more beers on tap and no under age females in the way of my pours.
I liked this place a lot more when it was located at the old loading dock with bathrooms that leaked when it rained. At least it had character and plenty of beers on tap. Keep this up and you'll be out of business...
Read moreTo start out the bartender with long hair was very rude when asking for recommendations. So I thought hey.... why not fire up the ol' Google reviews. So to start. The beers decent. Not bad not that unique. The decor of the place if literally what would look like if you paid a blind person $3.12 to decorate the bar you plan on having business at. There is about six plastic school seats and two barrels to put your drinks on. With a front desk that may be made out of cardboard. Dont touch it! Or it will fall over.... yes the bar top!
To respond, I Dont know why a presidents picture has to do with bad atmosphere,,,, I did get a picture of the seats It will be in the photos... and having restrictions has nothing to with bad decor.. everywhere else was nice, or mayb they place higher restrictions on you for poor attitude...the decor...
Read moreWe came here during our Easter Vacation and absolutely loved it!!! Everyone was very friendly and we loved the outdoor courtyard experience. They do not serve food, but you can go next door and grab a taco that is absolutely delicious! We ordered Purple Haze, Sonic Youth, Absolute Vanilla Stout, the 7,000,000 years infinite darkness, and got growlers to go. This was by far one of the best breweries we have ever been to. They have outdoor seating that was cozy, but they also have indoor seating in case it begins to rain. We actually moved inside and it was totally fine. They even have a huge dog bowl if you bring thirsty pups. The service was amazing and the other patrons were friendly and made our day (Local New Orleans residents, you know who you are!) If we are visiting New Orleans again, we will...
