This sexy café in front and den in back is attached to the Museum of Sex.
The library with books that might surprise you when opened. The interior with sultry lighting lends itself for a great date place and yes that is what I did. I met my date for a casual drink. The cozy ambiance and red lights encouraged you to get a bit closer. If the date is going well of course. Or the selection of cocktails/drinks to put you in the mood if it isn’t so and I’ve had many of those when in need of spirits to help. There also food if you desire so for those that really are enjoying their company.
Edit: The last few times I've return from the first great experience turned to more of lair of pain. Saturday night - apparently the servers/waitress didn't show up. No service and table and seat squatters to use WiFi.
Back again for some punishment. Again no service on Valentine's Day. No service but a line out the door for some couple's event who all decided that it was a good night to all go to the MoSex. Again only tourist and squatters hogging the seating to use the WiFi.
Third time strike out. I won't be recommending or coming back again. It certainly shouldn't be call Play because there is not much fun...
Read moreThe bar is cute and has a lot of themed drinks. Unfortunately I didn’t stay long. Firstly, I accidentally knocked my drink over when I went to hand a tip to the bar tender. After I got her attention and told her I had spilled it and needed a mop, she didn’t ask if I wanted another drink, offer a discounted replacement, anything. She didn’t even clean up the spill! I had to flag her down a second time and ask for another drink, which she charged me full price for.
Now if it had been a good drink, maybe I could have let it fly. But the drink was so weak that not only could I not taste the alcohol, I know there was hardly any. I’m 5’, 100lbs, on antidepressants. Three drinks will put me out for the count on my best day. That night in particular, I had eaten once in the early afternoon. A decent drink should have had me feeling something. The drink was so weak, that if I hadn’t known there was suppose to be alcohol in it, I never would have believed it. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise fun trip. So sadly, I can not...
Read moreThe experience was fine. One of the floors were closed so I think that why it seemed kind of short. The superfunland section was a bit underwhelming. The slide they had was not made for tall people. There was only two real arcade games. Their "tunnel of love" was HORRIFYING and made me feel like I needed a shower after. Their bounce house looked dirty. And the mechanical bull was just put in so you can feel "sexy" while riding. It couldn't throw a child off. For the money we spend to be there for both (superfunland and the museum).. I wouldn't suggest it to others. If you just want to go to the museum, that's probably a better use of your time, because you can really learn something. Also their store has...
