Today we visited Berlina Cafe & Pizza for breakfast while exploring the area, and I wanted to share an honest review in case you’re considering a visit 😊
Let’s start with the positives: We had a good breakfast — the food was tasty, freshly made, and came out pretty quickly. There are several breakfast options to choose from, and the menu is straightforward and satisfying. The coffee was strong, flavorful, and there were multiple options available — a definite plus! ☕
The café has two floors — the first floor has a few tables, while the second floor offers more space with both small and large tables. It’s great for groups, and overall, the vibe inside was calm and comfortable 🪑
The place also offers desserts, coffee, and pizza, so it’s more than just a breakfast spot — it’s the kind of place where you can come for different occasions throughout the day.
Now for the part I think they could improve: Unfortunately, the tables were not cleaned between guests. After someone left, the table would stay dirty — and with a steady flow of customers, this quickly became noticeable. It’s a small detail, but it really affects the experience. They could definitely use an extra staff member just to wipe down tables 🧼
Another thing that stood out — the desserts were overpriced and underwhelming. I had an éclair for $8, and honestly, it just wasn’t worth it. • The flavor didn’t stand out • The price felt too high for a casual café • The quality didn’t match the cost
So, my honest advice? ✅ Come here for a quick and filling breakfast or a good cup of coffee ❌ But skip the desserts unless you’re okay with paying more for something average
It’s a cozy spot with potential — I’d go back for the breakfast, but next time I’ll pass on the pastry case.

Read moreRude service I was truly shocked. Staff were short and snappy with us before even ordering. Ordered a coffee a coke and 2 muffins and left my partner to pay as I needed the rest room. It's worth noting we are normally card payers and cash tippers as we like to give it to the staff directly. I come back from the restroom to be told by my partner (who had clicked no tip on card as we normally tip cash) that he had overheard the lady on the counter talking about us to another customer in a very rude way (we can speak some spanish) and then said in english "Your in America you need to learn how to tip". I was MORTIFIED. I worked in hospitality for nearly 8 years. I understand tipping is slightly more expected here, but to say that to a customer? Disgusting. Don't waste your time going. What's funny is had she not have said that to my partner I had the dollars ready to go in the tip spot. Improve your customer service. That's how tips are made. Not by...
Read moreThe most low energy, non-communicating cashier person. We couldn't understand what our platters came with and what options we had to choose from.
We were told to grab a table upstairs and our number will be called when the food is ready. We sat for way longer than some eggs and toasts should take, so we went downstairs to check. Yes, our plates were just sitting there. Mind you, the place was not busy at all.
Fine. We're still content at this point. We're just happy to eat. Then I see what looks like a 3D-printed piece of bacon... it has a texture of jerky. Ok, we were still on at this point... then we tried our over-medium eggs. Not a grain of salt, pepper, or flavor of any kind. Zero flavor with our home fries too. Now, we're not happy. All that for plastic tasting food...
The sausage patty tasted like it was from the frozen isle of the grocery store. The best thing on my plate were the French toasts. Never coming back...
