I got my hair done on December 17th 2021 by Michael at this salon! I requested a balayage and a trim and I am SO SO happy I did. I’m asian and I have dark hair. My hair is also super thick and long (almost to my butt). I’ve always wanted slightly lighter hair or some highlights but I’ve always been super afraid of it coming out too light or too yellow. Michael understood immediately what I wanted. I showed him a few photos and he was so meticulous and careful with what I wanted. He made sure at every point in the process that it was coming out well and matched what I wanted. When he was done drying and styling I even asked last minute if I could get the front of my hair shorter to frame my face (so it looks super cute in a bun) and he was more than happy to do so. I now have gorgeous honey brown highlights in my dark hair which just looks absolutely gorgeous even 2 weeks later. I think it should also be mentioned that all I did was wait 24 hours and then continue on my normal washing schedule which is everyday. I know it’s bad but because of person preferences and was very scared that I would ruin it but it still looks like I just got it. ALSO everyone in that salon is so hilarious and so so nice. I’m super shy and usually do not like talking but they were telling me stories and gossiping to me like I was family and I felt so comfortable (that’s why i was comfortable enough to ask for the last minute front trim). I’ve got the worst haircut of my entire life in this salon. If you’re looking for a bob, lob or French haircut, trust me this is NOT the place. They’re ok with long hair. I travelled back home to fix this mess and my all time hairdresser said “OHH my GOD who did this. It looks worse than a beauty academy student haircut” it’s extra choppy, she didn’t know how to layer my hair and I literally ended up looking like I was wearing a helmet. The shortest layers were up to my ears. Since December I’ve been trying to grow back my hair with expensive deep scalp treatments to fix this monstruosity.
