Not a lot of atmosphere to be had here, but it is clean and they have some nice shiny machines for the baristas to use to make your ☕ beverage. The staff is friendly and they do put a nice flourish on the top of your coffee which is nice. The coffee creations are good, and well crafted without the intense over powering of the place on every street corner in the city (which will remain nameless). And it doesn't seem to get crowded which is nice too. They also offer a nice selection of Chemex coffee equipment and accessories for purchase.

Love the name, of course! That's what caught my attention in the first place. I tried their oat mocha and it was made well. Perfect espresso to mocha to milk consistency. They have very limited seating so it isn't the ideal place to work out of. Even though they don't have wifi, I am generally able to catch the wifi of the neighboring restaurants (I'm sure they don't mind haha). They also don't have a restroom so it is a nice lets hang out grab a cup of coffee place but not somewhere you can chill for long.

Was so excited to visit mostly because of the name, but it was aptly named for the one employee there when we visited. It was deserted, and we seemed to annoy the one employee when we entered too. Asked what syrups they had and was just pointed to the sign by the register. Super helpful! 😂 and only pumpkin and vanilla was an option. Very slim pickings! No bathroom either. Super bummed by the experience. Not a terrible coffee but nothing exciting.

Café Grumpy has quickly become one of my favorite coffee spots. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with a smile and treated like a regular, even when I'm not. There's a calm, unpretentious vibe here that makes it easy to relax, read, or catch up with a friend.

The coffee is consistently top-notch. Whether you're a fan of classic espresso drinks, pour-overs, or want to try something new, they have an impressive variety that caters to all tastes. Their beans are clearly high quality, and the baristas really know what they’re doing.

If you're looking for a spot that combines great coffee with warm, friendly service, Café Grumpy is it. Highly...

The barista barely greeted me and when I ordered, didn’t say anything. I had my dog with me and on my way out, pulled out a chair next to the door to organize my things before heading out again. She yelled at me from across the room saying I couldn’t sit down with a dog. I literally just needed two seconds to get my stuff together and was embarrassed that all the customers in the cafe turned to look at me. I got an iced oat latte and it was mid. Not nearly good enough to put up w rude service. Save yourself the time & money and go to Blue...

Really disappointed in this cafe. I ordered an iced matcha latte made with almond milk and it was awful. It had no flavor or sweetened at all - it just tasted like almond milk. When I asked about sweetener, I was told that they don't sweeten it at all, and the only thing they could sweeten it with was honey (not vegan), and my other option was for me to add simple syrup myself from the back counter. For over eight dollars for an iced matcha, you'd think it'd already be sweetened to a certain degree and not be required to sweeten...
